It is that time of the year when we recycle our jean fabrics into creative and beautiful things in the community. At first I thought that I wanted to just participate in the contest but after I brought out my old jean skirt I realized that the craft will be useful for something good in my house.
I recently moved into a new apartment and have alot of repair work to do.

See that spot right up there it was formally like this 👇

The former tenants didn't take care of the house well enough since it is not his personal property. That is usually the problem here, tenants often do not care about the houses they live in since it is not their property, in most cases they equally end up damaging most of the items in the house until the property owner gets pissed off to put them out.

Initially I thought about making a denim label or a flowery hair band with the denim but after getting some inspiration from this flower to make something in that design.

I felt that it can be used to cover that spot on the door while it will be stocked in there like some piece of decoration, after all it is a fashion house and fabric decoration will be a beautiful and common craft.

Started with the fabrics in which I have added some collar stay to give it a firmness underneath.

I have traced out how I want each piece of the petals to look like before using my hot glue to stick them together.
Not wanted to have it as plain denim
Like you see here

Or Will you have preferred it plain or with the bead?
Making this a complete recycle work you can see the blouse I am wearing here. It is a very old one and I needed the big bead for my work.
Hence I pulled out all the beads in the top and used it for my work😂😆.

Placing the big bead at the center of the petal using needle and thread, I surrounded them with my choice of black beads as against the white there too. Comparing both looks while working.

IMG_0936.jpeg

Well maybe I just preferred the black bead since the whites didn't look bad either.

Next I had gently used the gum to stick this to the hole on the door, which will be even protective as I have had rats coming into the house using that root.

The flower wasn't big enough to cover the scratch on the door paint, I forgot to consider that in order to increase the sizes of the flowers as I had then cut out here

Not willing to have that scratch disfigure my decor I had found the pieces that was used for last years contest two pieces of denim earrings which I have made right here.

It won't be a bad idea to have too many combinations on the door hence I placed it side by side on the door and that's what I have here.

This might not be the most beautiful denim project but I love that it will serve a good purpose concealing the door pothole right there 😂

This is a fantastic idea to disguise that part that is deteriorated, I really like your technique as it has texture and looks modern. No doubt you will have very good comments from whoever visits you at home.

It looks much, much better with beads. I like this project because it is almost 100% recycled material. It's a cute and very original ornament, no one will notice it's there to plug the hole.
Cheers.
