Wow -what a saga. A total pain in the neck. I cannot believe the situation/stories from this tradesman. He is definitely service minded. I hope you will get the radiators from this man.
I had a similar problem with keychain- but not a similar amount. 😀

I wonder if keychain is playing up, it seems odd to send out an error message when the transaction went through. Luckily it's powering up ourselves, and not transferring to someone else, that would be a disaster!!!
