My Last Contest
While growing up, I so much love sporting activities most especially football, volleyball and table tennis and anything relating to Military. Till tomorrow I still love it but my beloved country Nigeria makes it quite difficult for one to achieve ones desire except you know someone that knows someone at the top....that's pathetic.
I wasn't able to pursue any career in sports but the love for military makes me join a paramilitary organization in my church called 'The Boys & Girls Brigade of Nigeria', while other people were joining the choir and other departments, I choose a paramilitary organization because of their activities that I've seen.
The boys are called BB i.e Boys Brigade while the girls are GB i.e Girls Brigade. I love the white and blue uniform like crazy couple with black sneakers or shoe, plus the different instruments and the band sets.
The satisfaction I get when I'm among my fellow officers makes my heart leaps for joy. Apart from Biblical teachings and some lectures on the importance of the organization, we are also trained in some physical activities and they are of various kinds like parade, sports and the likes. We usually go for state camp once a year in August, the time when schools would have been on holiday.
The company would have been sent the itinerary on the activities for a whole year, so with the itinerary my company will be training us ahead for upcoming programs in the year. We compete amidst ourselves to choose the best of the best so as to have an excellent camping when we face other people from the state.
My favorite activity is parade, I can proudly say matching is in my blood, I love it so much and when I was still an active member of GB, there is no competition I don't attend because I was so good at it. Even during my National Youth Service (NYSC), the camp commandant gave me kudos for been the best female in the quarter-guard squad.
So the last parade competition I was privilege to compete in was 3years ago when I was called by my company's captain to join the parade squad at a Brigadier's retirement ceremony (the man was an Elder in my church), it was an honour to be part of the squad that day.
Although I'm still a member of the organization but I'm now a silent member due to my unavailability. Our performance wasn't that bad but we couldn't took the first position at that competition, we came third but we (the squad members) were proud of ourselves because we didn't have much time to train because of our tight schedules.
Since I've been a paramilitary member, I got to understand that if you want an excellent outcome, you must adequately prepared for it. And the last competition I was privileged to compete in thought me again that, one can't just jump to a thing and feels it will give the right results even though its a thing you love doing .
Once you jump in without adequate preparations, you might see no results. So preparations involves been focus couple with discipline, determinations and resilience. With these you can be sure of having favorable results.
Thanks for visiting my blog and have a pleasant weekend.

Ehehehe, oya pay me to come and match for you😂😂. Thanks for visiting lady
I love the army because they protect our country. Here, I came to know how you join Girls Brigade staff there. It is a nice duty. I still love to see the parade but a live session is a dream for me. I hope, you have enjoyed the fun in the competition although you didn't win.

I myself like football very much, it makes the body of a person very strong and the mind of a person is also very sharp and working well, so we should take the necessary part in such activities.
Yes that's true. Thanks for stopping by sir
