Afritunes Week 87 ~ "Nkwe" by Davasol cover by @mhizerbee

Hello everyone! Welcome to Afritunes Week 87. I am @mhizerbee. I am glad to be on your screens again this week. I will be presenting a cover of the song "Nkwe" by Davasol. I hope you have fun and enjoy the song.

My voice is a bit cracky because sickness has dealt with me. I have been sick for some weeks now and I couldn't do anything. I managed to attend classes throughout last week. I should have taken medications early before now because the symptoms were there but because I didn't have cash, I couldn't go ahead with it.

So, God made provisions for me and I was able to take medication which I'm still on it. I'm just happy that I'm on my feet again even though I am not really strong. I am grateful to God for good health which is why I chose to sing this song.

"Nkwe" means "I've not seen". It is an Ibibio song combined with English to express the faithfulness of God. The song means a lot to me because despite my unworthiness, he still sees me fit for his love, grace and mercy even when I don't deserve it.

People tend to see malaria as an ordinary sickness but just few weeks ago I heard of someone who was down with malaria but couldn't make it. We should cultivate the habit of appreciating God for the miracle of sleeping and waking up. It's not our right but it is a privilege.

I'm so thankful to God for always coming through for me. Words may not describe how grateful I am. For all he has done, may his name continually to be praised forevermore.
