Hello, ladies of hive! You get a hug! You get a hug and you! Get a HUG.
You not only get these hugs because I'm giving them but because you deserve it. As girls, ladies, females, women, we're also alike but so different. The complexity of our body and mind is no joke and it cannot be overrated or overemphasized.

Menstruation, having an imbalance in hormones , pregnancy and some other phases we go through is really just an experience and one crazy rollercoaster we must ride willing or not. While I've not experienced some of these phases, I have heard stories and still seen women go through it and all I can say is that, we are strong!

During menstrual cycle, not only do we experience physical trying times but it goes mental too. The bleeding, headaches, cramps, and some other symptoms which may differ individually can take a toll on us in so many ways. Most of get premenstrual symptoms early before the cycle and as such, we get restless and tired for no good reason. And then, when the cycle starts, all hell let's loose.
I have a friend who I always avoid during her cycle because during this period, she is not just feeling sad, tired but also quite sensitive and emotional. So, I give her space because she needs alone time during this period.
I think it's very important that we know that as similar as our body system or organs are, the way it works is kind of different. Now, I'm no professional but I think the female system is quite individualistic , so, what works for us during these period differ.

Some researches have shown that menstrual cycle may increase depression, restlessness and the likes of it alongside the pain you feel.
While some of have painful and dreadful menstrual cycle, some are mild.
I'll be using mine for example. Instead of feeling down and wanting to stay alone during my cycle, I tend to be quite chatty and this is because I feel like that and, if I stay alone, I would overthink a lot and become emotional.
So, to maintain a healthy mental, I try to stay sane admist the rollercoaster of emotions. During this time, we may find ourselves annoying and that can take a toll on our peace. So, for me, I try these few things;

  1. I listen to music. Soothing music which can calm me down or see some movies
  2. Personally, I eat a lot. Sometimes I feel like a lion, haha! But yes, I eat a lot of sugar too. Bad? Maybe. But it works for me.
  3. One time, I had a cramps. So, I took some pain relieving drugs like felvin.

From my friend whom I mentioned earlier, I noticed some things she do too to keep her menstrual health. For her, she sleeps because she feels restless when awake and she takes some alone time to listen to music and do soothing things to calm herself since she's always sensitive during this period. For some, it can be a depressive state even leading to unaliving thoughts because it can be that bad.

Females are such complicated , complex yet beautiful, intriguing gender that you can never truly know them all with one case study. Some statements have been made where people even said that women, they never have a period where they're truly themselves because they have one phase or the other they're going through with their hormones, emotions and all.
You should do what works for you and well, see a doctor if you must. Remember, that you're UNIQUE! Happy international girl child's day to you!

Me encanta saber que escuchas música y ves peliculas para calmarte durante la mestruación, es mejor que sentarse a vivir los cambios de humor con agresividad.

Yes, it's tough to stay sane in a busy world and with hormones going all over the place it doesn't get any easier unless we take care of ourselves. I'll be putting some music on later. Thanks @mesonia

Wow, you eat lots of sugar, that's strange😲. Everyone sticks to what works for them and so far you have studied how your body works so why not?

The symptoms are different for each one of us and so is our way to react at that. Some ladies can also handle the most complex symptoms with ease and some cannot bear very mild ones also. Getting emotional is very normal in these times, it's best to occupy the mind with something that is soothing so that we can stay as much as possible calm and peaceful with ourselves

Exactly! Everyone is so the same but still different...it goes from mild to intense. We have the same view!
