Hello community, I hope you are well. Today I want to share my entry for the @splinterlands art contest. This week I tried something different again, following the theme of Halloween, witches and dark beings, so I have chosen the character of Queen of cows for this illustration. As she is quite a pretty woman, I wanted to exaggerate her proportions even more and bring her out with a different concept and style under my own style for all of you. Hola comunidad, espero se encuentren bien. El día de hoy quiero compartir mi participación para el concurso de arte de @splinterlands. Esta semana probé nuevamente algo diferente, siguiendo la temática del Halloween, brujas y seres oscuros, por lo que he elegido al personaje de Queen of cows para esta ilustración. Al tratarse de una mujer bastante bonita, quise exagerar aun mas sus proporciones y llevarla a cabo con un concepto y estilo diferente bajo mi propio estilo para todos ustedes. A continuación les contare todo el proceso para elaborar a este personaje. ¡Espero les guste y gracias por pasarte por aquí!
Creative Process | Proceso Creativo✏️
For this illustration I took some time to look for references and come up with a composition that I liked. In the end I decided that I would make the character in a more anime style and then I started to make my sketch with the idea I had in mind. Having this clear I was making the sketch, first I made a basic pose that I was exaggerating a little in the chest of the character, from here I began to add the elements of the character besides making some modifications to the clothes of the original character.
Para esta ilustración me tome algo de tiempo para buscar referencias y plantear una composición que me gustara. Al final decidí que realizaría al personaje en un estilo mas anime y seguidamente comencé a realizar mi esquema con la idea que tenia en mente. Teniendo esto claro fui realizando el boceto, primero realice una pose básica que fui exagerando un poco en el pecho del personaje, a partir de aquí empecé a agregar los elemento del personaje además de hacer algunas modificaciones a la ropa del personaje original.
Once I had the sketch ready I cleaned it up a bit to have a better view of the character. Then I started to make the lineart, this time I wanted to make a thinner and cleaner line, so I used a quite small brush size and once the inking was done I thickened the contour lines for a better finish.
Una vez tenia el boceto listo lo limpie un poco para poder tener una mejor vista del personaje. Posteriormente comencé a realizar el lineart, esta vez quise realizar una línea un poco mas delgada y limpia por lo que utilice un tamaño de pincel bastante pequeño y una vez realizado el entintado engrose las líneas del contorno para un mejor acabado.
With the lineart ready I started to work on the colour application, at this point I applied the same colours of the original character and left some lines of the sketch to work on the background later. Once I applied the colours I worked on the shadows of the character to create some volume but without detailing too much.
Con el lineart listo comencé a trabajar en la aplicación del color, en este punto fui colocando los mismos colores del personaje original y deje unas líneas del boceto para trabajar en el fondo mas adelante. Una vez aplique los colores fui trabajando en las sombras del personaje para crear algo de volumen pero sin detallar demasiado.
At this point I started to work on the background and the final details of the illustration. Once I had finished applying the shadows I added small shades of light on the character and in turn I started to work on a kind of magical energy that would surround the character. These I gradually added more detail to create a more believable magic wave effect. With the power finished I applied a gradient in the form of a circle to work on the final ambience.
En este punto comencé a trabajar en el fondo y en los detalles finales de la ilustración. Una vez había terminado de aplicar las sombras fui agregando pequeños tonos de luz en el personaje y a su vez comencé a trabajar en una especie de energía mágica que rodearía al personaje. Estas poco a poco fui dándole mas detalles hasta crear un efecto mas creíble de onda mágica. Con el poder finalizado aplique un degradado en forma de circulo para trabajar en la ambientación final.

This is the end of my illustration for today. To finish I worked even more on the background, I used some crows as a resource and worked a bit on the colour of the lines to give a better finish to the textures. Para culminar trabaje aun mas en el fondo, utilice unos cuervos como recurso y trabaje un poco en el color de las líneas para dar un mejor acabado en las texturas. Por último agregue algunos ajustes de color a la imagen.
