Hive-Reachout Weekly Prompt 42>>"Popular Statement You Don't Agree With"
"Money is the Root of All Evil" A Misunderstood Assertion I Don't Agree With and won't agree with.
While growing up in a Christian background many of us have at some point heard it, "Money is the root of all evil." It's a term that people often use to excuse or to express disgust with the world, to clarify the morally uncertain acts people undertake seeking riches., each time I hear it, something inside me rebels with that statement, it just doesn't sit right with me.
Going through my bible Let's check on this quote which Actually says in (1 Timothy 6:10), "The love of money is the root of all sorts of evil." That little variance is rather significant. Money in and of itself is indifferent. This is a utensil one that may be used to help or to harm, to construct or to destroy. It's like faulting a knife for being used in a crime when you blame money. Ought not we look at the heart of the user?
I have observed cash to benefit myself throughout my life. I will say Thanks to money, I have seen people pay for others to go through college, bolster small companies, feed the starving, and even rescue lives. Let's also not pretend without money, there would be no charity campaigns, no Hive donations, and none sustainable development in the world we are establishing here.
Obsession is actually the root cause here when people cherish money more than they value others, goals, or standards. Then that's where corruption starts in. It's not in the wallet rather, it's in the heart. Greed, jealousy, arrogance those are the actual foundations. If left unattended, money just happens to be the grounds on which these qualities seek to flourish.
So, I don't think money is bad. The truth is that the world needs more decent wealthy people who know how to utilize it for good influence. How can we plan to outshine those using riches for the wrong reasons if all the compassionate individuals remain poor and keep saying **money is the root of all evil **
We should change the attitude towards it . Let's stop condemning having money and instead start instructing wise management, charity, and contentment. At the end of the day, since it is what you do with it that really counts, not what you have does.
