Which tribe front-ends do you use?

There are plenty of front-ends that access the Hive blockchain. In this post we would like to bring some awareness to the tribe front-ends. The main difference with standard front-ends like peakd or hive.blog is that on these front-ends you will only see posts with the according tag. Also the trending pages are constructed according to the post value in the token of the platform.

If you have a big stake in tribe tokens, you can achieve quite a great visibility on the front-end of the token.

In the video, I go through the different front-ends with you and explain what they can be used for.

I actually don't use any of these regularly. I like Peakd. The last one of those that I checked out though was the 1up frontend. It was pretty cool. I voted on a lot of things while there and realized that voting power is universal across all frontends... Needless to say, it took a while to recover from that spree.

That is pretty true and this is a bid disadvantage for tribes. If you don't run a specific account that has only the tribe token staked, you will ruin your hive voting power!

Some tribes have it set up so that only a small percentage of your HIVE power gets used, while a full percentage of the TRIBE power gets used.

I only use one account to vote and curate, so stick to Peaked most of the time. I will check in on Leo, SPT, or Oneup occasionally if I'm looking for news on a specific topic though.

With a single account it's a nightmare to use several front-ends, especially tribe front-ends. You almost need to work with vote-weight multipliers in order not to run out of hive voting power.

We have a tribe for our HiveBR community, I end up using it more. Even so, some tribes can be used at the same time. I like ecency, peakd, splintertalk, leofinance, pob, vyb and cent.

I didn't know that there was a front-end for HiveBR. Thanks for mentionning it. I also forgot vyb in my list...

I mainly use ecency because it is more comfortable, faster and I also receive points that I can convert into promotion or advertising.

I liked them so much I delegated to them.

I generally use PeakD. But among the tribe interfaces, I use the most Leofinance. Occasionally I use Splintertalk or OneUp.

Unfortunately, I don't have much time to use any of the front-ends right now as real life stuff is getting in the way. I'm 90% on LeoFinance but I occasionally use OneUp and CineTV. I used to use Sports and STEM occasionally as well, and every once in a while Neoxian.

I'd like to spend more time on the different front-ends but I just don't have the time to do it these days. I'm lucky to spend a half hour perusing my feed on Leo before going back to work and then actually getting a little sleep.

It's impossible to be everywhere... There are so many tribes and there is no way to get into all of them... In the end, they are different niches, and we pick what we like... ;)

I mainly used PeakD for blogging. I do use the LeoFinance site on occasion, but usually their market and not the blogging front end.

I'm used to the old Hive-Engine front-end, but I do agree that the LeoFinance market is much more superior...

Hehehehe... When I do the same, I go to the browser address bar and change the name of the site to the front-end that I want to post... I did it this time, too... :)

My old fave was @dapplr. It was convenient to use esp on mobile. Plus I can post with videos and photos for variety.

https://wearealiveand.social for the We Are Alive tribe by founder @flaxz. I enjoy giving away !ALIVE tokens.

I also use @peakd on the desktop and sometimes @ecency on mobile. @dtube is pretty good esp the mobile counterpart DTube Go. I hope the upload issues gets fixed soon. I'd love to get back to using it again.

Oh and there's @dbuzz for microblogging that I like. Lots of developments over there too.

An advance happy weekend!

You are the "old-school"! For some reason, both mobile frontends, dapplr, and decency stopped working for me... Have no idea why... But in general, I do most of my stuff on my laptop

I only have one account so it makes sense for me to use platforms like PeakD. However, I do occasionally check Splintertalk, ONEUP and Leofinance maybe once a week to look at the respective token rewards for my posts, because this information is not on PeakD.

That's a good point! On Liotes, we use different frontends with our specific tribe-curation accounts... In that way, we try to play the "clean game", and keep it simple :)

LeoFinance I use regularly and I use CTPTalk from time to time. I use to visit the other front-ends but I stopped as I found my time on LeoFinance to be more rewarding.

It looks that the LEOFinance community appreciates the most comments as they are upvoting them a lot... Which is a great incentive for people to use the their frontend!

Yea I have seen quite a few people talk about how nobody responds to them on other front-ends and I think communities need to value engagement more.

Occasionally I use leofinance and sportstalk, also used waivio in the past, but mostly I find comfort with the Peakd interface. Also recently I started running two nodes, one for the spk network and another for the Ragnarok game, this way I discovered the dlux.io interface which has some cool things integrated, but I'll let you all discover more about it...

If you open all the front-ends in your list you'll see that maybe half of them look just about the same and some of them don't even work properly. This is a shame, if a community cares about it's own, they should do something about it, make a front-end that represents you and also works. This is one of the reasons that even if I tried other front-ends I always came back to peakd because it has never let me down, it has always worked for me.

You are 100% right! That's the main issue that I have with certain tribes... Many owners have just created a tribe, without any knowledge about tokenomics, with a hope that it will "live on its own" which is impossible...
Unfortunately, that gives a very bad image about tribes in general and the community as a whole... But, I suppose that's the natural way of "evolving" and maybe we will see some more "serious" tribes with a vision of the future...

I am having difficulty publishing my post using the front-ends themselves. What I usually do is look for that specific tribe using PeakD and publish from there.

If my post is Splinterlands related, I published it on splintertalk.io; if economics, on cent.blog, if about ListNerds and marketing, on ctptalk.com; if microposting, either on d.buzz or somee.blog.

By the way, someeofficial is the tag to use to earn SME.

99% of times i use peakd.com (posts) and ecency desktop (for comments)

But 1%, i do use leofinance.io (#myhivegoals post and few comments), ctptalk.com (mostly comments) & wearealiveand.social (comment on alive related post)

For sports related posts, i use to post using their front-end.

I don't use anything. I've written something in leofinance a few times but I haven't seen any benefit (I suppose because I'm not some financial expert and there was no added value for anyone in the post)...
I only use the Ecency frontend which is not a tribe (maybe it will be) mainly because of the POINTS I get for each post, comment, vote, etc...
But it is true that if I write about music, I add the tag "musicforlife", just like I add other tags on other topics
... btw: just to know, I'm ecency curator, and if I vote for some post, ecency votes too ...

Yeah, Ecency is great, but we didn't list it as it's not a tribe... I was using it on my mobile phone for a while but it stopped working for some reason... To be honest, I have fat fingers and don't like to work on anything on my phone... lol...

We have figured out that you are their curator and appreciate your upvotes very much!!! Thanks, man!

I haven't used a tribe specific front-end in awhile. It can be hard to do if your post doesn't "fit". I almost always use peakd now. I made one post pon POB and some jerk used more than 1 account used it to downvote me into oblivion. So, I'm leery of front-ends now. There are advantages and also drawbacks.

The best thing is that there are a lot of tribes out there, so if you don't like one, you go to the next one... And of course, trying to fit into the niche of the tribe...
