Today I am happy to present to you Third edition of the mini contest born from the collaboration between the Olio di Balena community and Leofinance that has a double objective:

• create a moment of interaction and sharing among the users of Olio di Balena
• raise knowledge of a useful tool created by Leofinance for Hive communities: the Community Threads

Mini Contest Topic

Hive has many utilities and many applications (blogging, interaction, Defi, gaming, community, ...)

What is the activity you like to do most on the Hive blockchain? And why?

Mini Contest Rules

• Rule 1: You must create a Thread within the Olio di Balena community.

• Rule 2: In the thread you must write what is the activity you like to do most on the Hive blockchain
  Then share your thoughts and why.

• Rule 3: In the thread you must include an image you created or a photo from your personal photo archive or a a photo/screenshot you took pertaining to the contest topic.
  You may not use photos or images not your own taken from the web.

• Rule 4: you can choose to write your thread in Italian language or English language or both.

• Rule 5: you must be a member of the Olio di Balena community.

• Mini Contest DEADLINE: the contest starts today, September 8, 2023 and ends at midnight (Italian time) on Monday, September 11, 2023.

Mini Contest Prizes

• The 5 Threads that generate the biggest interaction will receive 10 LEO = 1.50 HIVE

• 3 Threads will be chosen randomly and win 1 HBD each

• Your thread could also be voted by Leofinance

How to Create a Thread in Olio di Balena

(Step-by-step guide)

A Thread is a Twitter-style post created and stored on the Hive blockchain through the use of the Leofinance User Interface (UI)

A Community Thread is a thread posted within a Hive community and viewable within the Communities->"Community Name"->Threads section of the Leofinance UI.

Creating a Community Thread is a very simple task and I will show you the steps to follow.

Step 1: Login to Leofinance.

• Step 1.1: You have to go to https://leofinance.io/ and then you have to click on Log in

• Step 1.2: On the next screen you have several log in options to choose from including:

  • LeoAuth: You have to enter your Hive username, your Posting Key and then you have to click on Log in.
    

  • Log in with Hive KeyChain: You have to enter your Hive username, then you have to click on Log in and then you have to click on Confirm within the Hive Keychain screen.
    

Step 2: Enter the Home Page of the Olio di Balena.

• Step 2.1: You need to click on Communities.
• Step 2.2: You must enter "Olio di Balena" or part of the name in the search field.
• Step 2.3: You must click on the box that contains the logo and name of Olio di Balena

• Alternative Step 2: you need to go directly to the link: https://leofinance.io/communities/hive-146620

Step 3: Create and post the Mini Contest Participation Thread.

• Step 3.1: Within the Home Page of Olio di Balena you need to click on Threads
• Step 3.2: Then you need to enter the text of your thread in the box that contains the #whaleoil tag
• Step 3.3: Then you need to click on Thread in the bottom right corner.

Operation completed! Easy right? ;)

Now all you have to do is participate in this nice mini contest ;)

Advice: If the text of your thread exceeds the maximum capacity of a single thread you can also write a threadstorm.
In this case only in the first thread you have to insert the tags oildibalena and threadstorm and enter the indication 1/x where x is the number of treads your threadstorm contains.
All other threads after the first one you have to insert them as comments to your first threads indicate for each thread the number of the tread such as 2/5, 3/5, ... 5/5

Winners of the Second Edition of the Mini Contest (september 1-4, 2023)

In the first mini-contest there were more participations than the participations in the second contest.

In the first mini-contest there were 8 entries while in the second one there were only 3 entries.

Olio di Balena is a small but very active community and I am convinced that it can do much better in this week's contest and so...prove your valor to me OdB members :)

Writing a thread is very easy and takes very little time as I showed you in the guide above.

Kudos to the only 3 participants who took the time to participate in the contest because they got what I call an easy win :)

The theme of the second mini contest was:
What was your most beautiful and positive emotion you have experienced in your life?

The first participant was @arc7icwolf who shared his great emotion when he met his two wonderful little dogs for the first time.
Two adorable german-shepards who will certainly be grown now.
How old are your two little sisters?
What are their names?

The second participant was @mad-runner who shared two photos of his adorable kittens in this thread.

The third and final participant in the contest was @mikezillo.
In his beautiful thread @mikezillo shared a beautiful photo by the sea and shared the excitement he felt when he was accepted into the Yoga teacher course.
When a passion is strong becoming a teacher of that passion equals feeling a great emotion.

The threads that generated the most interaction were in order:

The three participants I listed above won 10 LEOs each.

The prize pool for the contest was 50 LEO but with only 3 participants there are 20 LEO left over which will be added to the prize pool of the current contest which will then have a LEO prize pool of 70 LEO instead of 50 LEO.
Therefore participating in this weekend will be even more advantageous and so dear friends of Olio di Balena I hope for more participation.

The 3 participants also win 1 HBD each without the need to do the drawing because there were exactly three HBD prizes.

Oggi sono felice di presentarvi la terza edizione del mini contest nato dalla collaborazione tra la comunità di Olio di Balena e Leofinance che ha un duplice obiettivo:

• creare un momento di interazione e condivisione tra gli utenti di Olio di Balena
• far conoscere un utile strumento creato da Leofinance per le comunità di Hive: i Community Threads

Mini Contest Topic

Hive ha tante utilità e tante applicazioni (blogging, interazione, Defi, gaming, comunità, ...)

Qual'è l'attività che ti piace fare di più sulla blockchain di Hive? E perchè?

Mini Contest Rules

• Regola 1: Devi creare un Thread all'interno della comunità di Olio di Balena

• Regola 2: Nel thread devi scrivere qual'è l'attività che ti piace fare di più sulla blockchain di Hive.
  Quindi condividi i tuoi pensieri su questo argomento.

• Regola 3: Nel thread devi inserire una tua immagine o una foto presa dal tuo archivio fotografico personale o una foto/screenshot che hai scattato tu inerente al'argomento del contest.

Alternativa: Puoi anche non utilizzare immagini ma in questo caso devi creare un threadstorm equivalente a tre threads.

• Regola 4: puoi scegliere di scrivere il tuo thread in lingua italiana o in lingua inglese o in entrambe le lingue.

Come Creare un thread in Olio di Balena

(Guida passo passo)

Un Thread è un post Twitter-style creato e memorizzato sulla blockchain di Hive tramite l'utilizzo della Leofinance User Interface (UI)

Un Community Thread è un thread pubblicato all'interno di una comunità di Hive e visualizzabile all'interno della sezione Communities->"Nome Comunità"->Threads della Leofinance UI.

I Community threads della comunità di Olio di Balena possono essere creati e visualizzati nella sezione Threads della pagina: https://leofinance.io/communities/hive-146620

Creare un Community Thread è un'operazione molto semplice e ti mostro i passi da seguire.

Passo 1: Login su Leofinance

• Passo 1.1: Devi andare su https://leofinance.io/ e poi devi cliccare su Log in

• Passo 1.2: Nella schermata successiva hai diverse opzioni di log in tra cui scegliere tra cui:
  • LeoAuth: Devi inserire il tuo Hive username, la tua Posting Key e poi devi cliccare su Log in.
    
  • Log in con Hive KeyChain: Devi inserire il tuo Hive username, poi devi cliccare su Log in e poi devi cliccare su Confirm all'interno della schermata di Hive Keychain.

Passo 2: Entrare nella Home Page della comunità di Olio di Balena

• Passo 2.1: Devi cliccare su Communities
• Passo 2.2: Devi inserire nel campo di ricerca "Olio di Balena" o parte del nome.
• Passo 2.3: Devi cliccare sul riquadro che contiene il logo e il nome di Olio di Balena

• Passo 2 alternativo: devi andare direttamente al link: https://leofinance.io/communities/hive-146620

Passo 3: Creare e pubblicare il Thread di partecipazione al mini contest.

• Passo 3.1: All'interno della Home Page di Olio di Balena devi cliccare su Threads
• Passo 3.2: Poi devi inserire il testo del tuo thread nel riquadro che contiene il tag #oliodibalena
• Passo 3.3: Poi devi cliccare su Thread in basso a destra.

Operazione completata! Facile vero? ;)

Adesso non devi fare altro che partecipare a questo bel mini contest ;)

Consiglio: Se il testo del tuo thread è superiore alla capienza massima di un singolo thread puoi anche scrivere un threadstorm.
In questo caso solo nel primo thread devi inserire i tag oliodibalena e threadstorm e inserire l'indicazione 1/x dove x è il numero dei threads che contiene il tuo threadstorm.
Tutti gli altri threads devi inserirli come commenti al tuo primo threads indicando per ogni thread il numero del tread come ad esempio 2/5, 3/5, ... 5/5

Vincitori della Seconda Edizione del Mini Contest (1-4 settembre 2023)

Nella prima edizione del mini-contest ci sono state più partecipazioni rispetto alle partecipazioni al secondo contest.

Nel primo mini contest ci sono state 8 partecipazioni mentre nel secondo solo 3 partecipazioni.

Olio di Balena è una comunità piccola ma molto attiva e sono convinto che può fare decisamente meglio nel contest di questa settimana.

Scrivere un thread è molto semplice e richiede poco tempo come ti ho mostrato nella guida sopra.

Complimenti ai soli 3 partecipanti che hanno trovato il tempo per partecipare al contest perchè hanno ottenuto quella che io chiamo una facile vittoria :)

Il tema del primo mini contest era:
Quale è stata la tua emozione più bella e positiva che hai provato nella tua vita?

Il primo partecipante è stato @arc7icwolf che ha condiviso la sua grande emozione quando ha incontrato per la prima volta i suoi due meravigliosi cagnolini.
Due adorabili german-shepards che adesso saranno certamente cresciuti.
Quanti anni hanno le tue due sorelline?

Il secondo partecipante è stato @mad-runner che ha condiviso due foto delle sue adorabili gattine in questo thread.

Il terzo e ultimo partecipante del contest è stato @mikezillo.
Nel suo bel thread @mikezillo ha condiviso una bella foto in riva al mare e ha condiviso l'emozione che ha provato quando è stato accettato nel corso per insegnanti di Yoga.
Quando una passione è forte diventare insegnante di quella passione equivale a provare una grande emozione.

I threads che hanno generato maggiore interazione sono stati in ordine i threads di:

I tre partecipanti che ho elencato sopra hanno vinto 10 LEO ognuno.

Il montepremi per il contest era di 50 LEO ma con solo 3 partecipanti sono avanzati 20 LEO che si aggiungeranno al montepremi del contest in corso che quindi avrà un montepremi in LEO di 70 LEO invece di 50 LEO.
Per questo motivo partecipare in questo week-end sarà ancora più vantaggioso e quindi cari amici di Olio di Balena spero in una maggiore partecipazione.

I 3 partecipanti vincono anche 1 HBD ognuno senza la necessità di fare l'estrazione perchè i premi in HBD erano esattamente tre.
