LOH #157// Things people misunderstand about me

Hello everyone, it's with a great pleasure that I'm welcoming you all to my blog and I wish you a very happy new week. I hope you are all doing great. It's another #ladiesofhive community contest and I will like to answer this question.

What's the one thing people always misunderstand about you?

There is something that always makes me wonder about people and that is how they like to jump into conclusions all the time without knowing the actual fact. They will be quick to judge someone before they even get to know they truly are and when they do that they create problems out of assumptions.

If there is one thing people always misunderstand about me and that will be my silence. People think I'm a fool because I choose not to say anything when they hurt me most of the time but the truth is my silence is my secret weapon they wouldn't know when I will use it. I might be silent but I'm not a fool as the think, I just choose not to say anything because I'm looking for the right time and the right answer.

The second thing is my face. My face looks like a 16 or a 19 year old girl when I was 25. So people mistake me as a little girl who can't peak up for herself, People disrespect me, they will talk to me as if they are talking to a kids and I think that is because I don't have money.

There was a day I was passing by and I saw a wallet by the road side, I took it an check what is inside and I found some important documents needed by a student and when I checked the identity card it happens to be someone I know. The girl is living three house away from mine so I took it to their house.

When got there, I knocked their gate and her mom open the door, she asked me how she can help me an I told her that I wanted to see her daughter Deborah, her next statement make me laugh. She said see how you call Deborah as if she's your mate, a little respect would have do okay" she said.

I laughed and told her that I'm not there to talk to them about my age or who is older, here is what I found that I wanted to return to her. I gave it to her and was about to leave when I decided to give her a piece of my mind and I said " ma'am, for your information I'm way older than your daughter Deborah, I'm 25 if you want to know and your daughter is 19 and you can find the remaining answer yourself, it's not about that stature you know". I said that and left their house.

I blamed myself for helping such a person but in the I'm happy I put her in her place. Because they are richer than me doesn't mean they can step on me and since that day she knows her place.

Thanks for checking on my blog and have a wonderful day

That baby face is another thing I have to deal with, people don't see me for the age I'm at. While I like it that way sometimes, I can't say I haven't been disrespected because of that too.

It's really annoying how people judge you bad on your look.
