Splinterlands Art Contest | Avina of the Wolf

Hello everyone, It's a beautiful and quiet Wednesday here, I spent most of my morning completing this work and I'm sharing it with you all. It's another round of the splinterlands art contest and I chose to do a fanart of a rare summoner card; Avina
of the wolf.

Avina popularly called "the wolf" is a sergeant knight famous for her hit and run tactic. She's very dedicated to ending the chaos empire with her brutal ways which has earned her trust and respect from her superiors...

PROCESS

I had a totally different card in mind, wanted an earth card but chose this one because of the fur coat on her shoulders, I don't think I've ever painted something like that so I decided to try. I did the sketch and laid all the colours, I used different colours and I'm glad they came out good, It was difficult to resist the urge to use the ones in the original character though.

I really looked forward to painting that fur and I'm really glad I did, It wasn't really challenging as I just went with the flow. I rendered everything by adding details, shadows and lighting where necessary. I painted some braids underneath, added some jewellery and her badge hanging on her large belt.

This is the finished work and I'm really satisfied with the outcome..
