I, very happy to be able to participate in this week's contest, I love this kind of questions because I feel that they become a very helpful tool and guidance, many times we can focus through other people's experiences and make the right decisions to move forward on the best path.

Yo, muy feliz de poder participar en el concurso de ésta semana, me encantan éste tipo de preguntas porque siento que se convierten en una herramienta de mucha ayuda y orientación, muchas veces podemos enfocarnos a través de experiencias ajenas y tomar las decisiones apropiadas para avanzar por el mejor camino.

We Women have multiple phases in our life where we go through hormonal imbalance, like monthly menstruation, pregnancy, menopause. Not only our physical but our mental health also gets impacted. Share with us, how do you take care of these sensitive times and take care of your physical and mental health?

  • I had always heard that the age at which you develop is proportional to the menopause and that was my experience.... I developed when I turned 12 years old, my mother has always been a very expressive person and since I was a little girl she explained to me that this process of development was something normal. The first years of menstruation were with very mild symptoms, but when I reached adolescence the belly pains increased, to the point of keeping me in bed for the first few days. When I turned 18 my gynecologist prescribed me a treatment with contraceptive pills, the truth is that this was the great solution, because the pains disappeared immediately. After a few months I did not want to take these pills, as I was sure that there must be another more natural treatment, so I tried acupuncture and natural medicines, this tool helped me a lot and with it I stayed for many years.

  • I was a little afraid of menopause, as I knew that it presented itself with very unpleasant symptoms, where the mood of women changes completely, many go through periods of depression and have to take medication. I had also read that it produced very strong hormonal changes, among the symptoms that I feared the most were tachycardia and excessive sweating. I have always been a very optimistic and positive person, I started to prepare myself mentally programming my body through daily affirmations, so that menopause would come without any symptoms that would take away my quality of life. I am sure that in our brain dwells a very powerful weapon that we can use for our physical, mental and spiritual well-being. I went to the gynecologist and he told me that I was going through pre-menopause, when he asked me what symptoms I was having to prescribe any medication I told him that I did not have any discomfort. The doctor gave me a list with the discomforts I was going to present and the medications I had to take. I spent 2 years bleeding sporadically and when my menstruation was completely gone I felt a lot of satisfaction for having gone through menopause without all the information that I had read and that worried me for a short period of my life.

Las mujeres pasamos por múltiples fases en nuestra vida en las que sufrimos desequilibrios hormonales, como la menstruación, el embarazo y la menopausia. No sólo nuestra salud física, sino también nuestra salud mental se ve afectada. Comparte con nosotros, ¿cómo cuidas estos momentos delicados y cuidas tu salud física y mental?

Siempre había escuchado que la edad en que te desarrollas es proporcional a la menopausia y esa fue mi experiencia... Me desarrollé cuando cumplí los 12 años, mi madre siempre ha sido una persona muy expresiva y desde pequeña me explicó que este proceso del desarrollo era algo normal. Los primeros años de la menstruación fueron con síntomas muy leves, pero cuando llegué a la adolescencia los dolores de vientre se fueron incrementando, hasta el punto de mantenerme en cama los primeros días. Cuando cumplí 18 años mi ginecóloga me prescribió un tratamiento con pastillas anticonceptivas, la verdad que esa fue la gran solución, porque los dolores desaparecieron de forma inmediata. A los meses no quería tomar ésta pastillas, ya que estaba segura que debía existir otro tratamiento más natural, así que probé con acupuntura y medicamentos naturales, ésta herramienta me ayudó muchísimo y con ella me mantuve durante muchos años.

Sentía un poco de temor respecto a la menopausia, ya que sabía que se presentaba con síntomas muy desagradables, en donde el humor de las mujeres cambia por completo, muchas llegan a pasar por períodos de depresión y deben medicarse. También había leído que se producía cambios hormonales muy fuertes, entre los síntomas que más le temía era a la taquicardía, la sudoración excesiva. Siempre he sido una persona muy optimista y positiva, empecé a prepararme mentalmente programando a mi cuerpo a través de afirmaciones diarias, para que la menopausia llegará sin ningún tipo de síntomas que me quitarán mi calidad de vida. Estoy segura que en nuestro cerebro habita un arma muy poderosa que podemos utilizar para nuestro bienestar corporal, mental y espiritual. Les cuento que poco a poco mi menstruación fue desapareciendo, acudí al ginecólogo y me comentó que estaba pasando por la pre menopausia, cuando me preguntó que síntomas estaba presentando para prescribir algún medicamento le comenté que no tenía ningún malestar. El doctor me entregó una lista con los malestares que iba a presentar y con los medicamentos que debía tomar. Pasé 2 años sangrando de forma esporádica y cuando se fue por completo la menstruación sentí mucha satisfacción, por haber pasado la menopausia sin toda la información que había leído y que me preocupó durante un corto período de mi vida.

Estoy segura que los pensamientos positivos y la programación mental ayudan a que nuestro cuerpo se mantengan lo más saludable posible... Muchas gracias por visitar mi blog, nos vemos en una próxima publicación!

Your mom did a great job teaching you all that you needed to know about your body, many of us grew up being taught by books or in school.

At 12 years? Oh my, you grew so fast, the first time I saw mine, I was scared to my wit and it didn't come again until I was in high school between 14 and 15 years, I guess, I didn't experience pain as at when it started, I instead experience a lot of blood clots and heavy flow but as I knew more about myself, I started working on myself and today, I am better.

I am glad you found something natural to ease your pain because natural medication is the best anyone can take especially ladies. After all, it has little or no effect on us, compared to the drugs we take.

Yo también creo en el poder de la mente y en cómo nos podemos condicionar para mejorar la salud. De hecho soy testigo de la sanación milagrosa de una amiga de la infancia a través del uso consciente de su mente.
Ahora yo estoy en el proceso de la pre menopausia y tampoco he sentido algún síntoma.

All our cycles also depend on our lifestyle, if we maintain healthy lifestyle then the menopause is also smooth. For me also it has been the same, I have not had many issues, except for little hot flashes sometime. Exercise and Meditation helps a lot in balancing the hormones.
