LOH #234 - Books or movies??

When it comes to entertainment, there's no contest about it for me: I'm a book girlie through and through.

As a book person, I'm all about the thrill of turning pages, the smell of physical books, and the excitement of losing myself in a world of words. There's something about diving into a book, letting my mind wander and imagination soar. I get to experience a story in my own way.

The rich description, the emotional depth, the ability to use my imagination to visualise the story the way I want - it's a full experience that watching a movie just can't replicate.

Reading books, for me, is more than just a pastime, it's an experience where I can explore new worlds, meet fascinating characters, and escape from the mundane realities of everyday life. Whether I'm delving into epic fantasy reads, romance or a murder mystery, there's a certain magic that I find in books.

There's something about getting lost in a good story, where the characters comes alive in my mind and their world unfolds before my eyes.

With a book, I get to explore the workings of a character's mind, delve into their thoughts and emotions, and understand their motivation. And I'm not just watching a story unfold, it's like I'm actually participating in it, creating my own mental image, and bringing the character to life in my mind, like I'm living alonside the characters.

It's a far more personal and engaging experience than watching a movie could ever be.

When I sit down with a book, I'm settling in for an adventure. I'm putting on my comfiest clothes, grabbing a snack, and getting ready to lose myself in a world of words. It's a ritual that I cherish, one that allow me to relax, unwind and immerse myself in a story, where the real world fades away and I become fully invested in the book.

Sure, you can curl up in a couch and watch a movie, but it's not just the same.

I enjoy watching movies too, they can be visually captivating and emotional and even inspiring in their own way, but they are not just not as personal and immersive as books.

In conclusion, I'm a proud "book person" for life 💪!!

A well written book does make it personal the moment we put ourselves into the shoes of the protagonist. ❤️
