SHOPPERPHOBIC

I don't like going shopping on my own, because I always get it wrong. I either buy something I would regret or something I wouldn't need. My younger sister came to my place yesterday and she had been laughing at me up to this moment because apart from foodstuffs, there's nothing in my house. I think I'm developing a phobia of shopping I can not count how many times I went wrong shopping. Some months back I said I needed to get a pair of jeans. I went to the market like any other normal human being only to come back regretting what I bought, I was looking all feminine in the jeans. I was so disappointed that I wished I had gone with my friend. Well since I couldn't get the manly pair of jeans, I started wearing whatever I bought inside my house (my money can not go to waste)

I thought about giving it out to a lady, but I didn't want it to look awkward to anyone I gave it to. Even when I got my phone, I discovered that the one I would have picked had faults. If not for my friend pointing it out, I would have seen the fault only after I had gotten home. Even when I was to buy the power bank I'm using right now, I got it well sealed only to discover when I got home that it wasn't working. I had to return it and I got a new one that wasn't still working. By the time I went the third time, I went with my phone and cord to test it right there only to discover all the sellers' products were fake. I began to think to myself, others are buying power banks and I'm buying a fake.

Today again I decided to get an earphone because the one I was using had gone bad due to my carelessness. I got it without testing it only to discover only one of the sets was working. My sister has another reason to laugh at me. I think it's because anytime I get something I've been wanting to buy, I get too excited and forget to do the necessary validation. One thing I'm happy to have gotten is my phone, and it's all thanks to my friend's suggestion. I got my phone at a very reasonable price compared with the quality of the phone. This and more is the reason my house is empty as my sister qualifies for it. I would rather have an empty house than one full of things I don't need.

The only thing I get to buy right is my foodstuffs (to a reasonable amount). I mean a boy needs to eat, and I try to ask around for the prices before going so I'm not cheated in the market. But this came after countless times I had been cheated of the foodstuffs I purchased from the market. I am good at helping people out when It comes to these things, and I make the right decisions better when there's an alternate opinion to mine. But when it's all coming from my small head, I just end up making mistakes.
