MY HIVE GOALS FOR 2024

Last year I set my hive goals based on how I understand the hive Blockchain. I decided to go do a quick peep on those goals and I just laughed at myself reminiscing on how important those goals were to me then. Not that they were bad, but knowing the things I know now, I see there are better things to achieve, I've come to discover that the things that I was chasing then weren't as important to the Blockchain as I imagined, and knowing that I have decided that I would focus more on doing things to grow the hive Blockchain, than just setting goals that would earn me rewards. The rewards I crave are not just in HP and HBD, because I have come to understand that these are things that come naturally when we build value in the Blockchain.

The reason for community contests building engagements and all is to build an ecosystem that would thrive and stand the test of time. I no longer want to be among the many that will scavenge for peanuts whereas those who truly push the ecosystem and make it thrive would be made for life. I want to be made for life so I spent the latter part of 2023 thinking of ways I can add positively to the Blockchain. I understand this would be a lot of work, because it's not easy making something new thrive, and for the fact that I'm not financially buoyant enough to do giveaways all everything communities do to promote the Blockchain, But I can make a difference by making my blog a place those in my niche can come and feel at home.

MY GOALS;

With all being said and done, my goals will revolve around creating values through the skills I would be learning and teaching at the same time. One thing that makes web2 social media platforms thrive is the value a lot of people create. Imagine you have a little issue at home, and the next thing you do is go on YouTube to check for a solution that you are likely to find. How many hivers go on hive to see solutions to an ordinary problem they have? You see these are things I see are lacking on the Blockchain and I want to be a part of those that will make hivers and non-hivers feel comfortable relying on contents from hive as a solution to their problems. I hope to be detailed enough in my content to ensure that I give practical guides and solutions.

This would mean that I will be doing a lot of promotion of the things I do on hive on web2 social media platforms referring users to my blog to learn. I hope to create content around learning digital skills that would help you in the long run and also how to use new inventions you are learning to your advantage. I don't know if this kind of content would immediately give me good rewards, I’m not going to be just after rewards this time, so my rewards might be coming from participating in weekly contests and all. However in the long run I'm sure my blog would be worth visiting as new users would be joining the Blockchain to follow me up the more, and more interested hivers would see value and always look out for my post. The truth about the most content on hive is that they will never get views on other Web 2 social media platforms because they lack quality in the value they give and I would love to make a change in that perspective as I see it as we just getting paid to engage and write instead of writing and engaging with contents worth your time.

Thanks to the last zealy campaign I saw this is a major issue the hive Blockchain is having, and being among those who would try to solve it will be really good. In the real sense content creation is about creating content that solves real-life problems. Whether it's telling a story, doing a vlog, or anything at all, people should be able to consume them as value even though they are not paid for it. Prompts come and a lot of us dive into them for the gain, some even lie in the process of making an entry just for the gain, whereas there are real-life values people can give. How would you feel if you have been aspiring to learn graphics design all your life, and in my blog, I create a six or eight-week course that would teach you everything you need to learn to start a career as a graphics designer or perhaps you just want to learn it for yourself. At the end of the day, my blog would be one of your favorites, and even if you don't like engaging on Hive, my blog would be worth engaging. I want to look at this post at the end of the year and see how much I would have achieved. There's a lot of work to do now, but I will start as soon as I can.

Every newbie feels achieving goals on the hive platform is one easy thing to do but it's not so.

Earning on Hive happens naturally and to boost that, we need to develop ourselves. In the course of developing ourselves, we add value to ourselves and the Hive blockchain as well.

These are quite thoughtful goals bro and I believe that you can bring great value to Hive. I learned from this and will work hard to create more value from my end as well.

Your words are thought provoking.
The truth is different people joined hive for different reasons but regardless of the reasons at the the long run the main focus is still the reward because it assist hive users in growing their hive power among other things and one of the ways to get it done easily is by participating in prompts and challenge. Which also allows us to gain visibility but along the line most hive users get lost in the midst of the whole hive rumble and forget what a blog is really all about.

I believe creating of content that will attract reward and also add value to the readers/viewers can be done simultaneously

Indeed. I also want to pay more attention in bridging the gap between web 2 and 3 platforms. Make a post on Hive, promote it on Facebook and the like. Very smart!
