I enjoyed Tim Burton's version of Alice in Wonderland.
These stories are like looking at a caricatured reflection of our own world in an entertaining package. We ask, "Which world is more Mad? Ours, or the one in Alice's Wonderland?"
I think the story of Gulliver's Travels is of the same theme.
