My favorite times of the day used to be dawn and just after midnight. At those times of the day, the world has either gone to bed or is preparing to rise. There is something about those moments that for me just feels so enchanting. It's like the fairies of the night have sprinkled their dust of sweet slumber and the rest of us who manage to evade the drops stay wide awake and soak in the magical moment.

Those window moments are the peak and highlights of my day. It is when I am one and at peace with myself. I can sit in silence and retrospect while having honest conversations with myself. It is when I get my creative juices splattered in ink. With a chill on my skin and my favorite tea in hand, I live for that moment of energy rush. Orgasmic it is.

Now, fast forward to married life, and a two-year-old later, my favorite time of the day is when I create it. I do not often get those quality rejuvenating dusk and dawn moments as often as I'd love to.

At first, I started getting drained and frustrated at the lack of time I had for myself. Then it hit me that I didn't have to wait for nature to bring me serenity all the time. I simply sought to create the atmosphere I wanted.

At noon when all the morning rush of getting ready for the day is over and family is away, I simply shut out the noise. I draw down my blinds and create an illusion of darkness. I admit that I love it when everywhere is dark and dimly lit. The scene stirs something inside of me that's been begging to come out. With the air around me smelling so sweet, my steaming hot cuppa’, and the dim light from my workspace, the atmosphere is just perfect.

Aloneness is something that I am always desperate for. I love to be with my family, friends, and the people I love, however, my solitude is non-negotiable.

its usually a moment of reflection where everywhere is just dark with dim light. You had to adjust because of family. You did well. I wish you the best Sis.

Thank you for sharing; I can understand needing alone time; I rarely get it. Take care and have a blessed and lovely day!🤗💜
