Beers in the snow here and there
There is just something with skiing and being in the mountains all day long and having the reward after all the hard work of the day of having a beer in the snow.
I don't know why but these things just go hand in hand. It is something with the effort and the outside air that just makes this happen. Or...did we create this situation that is just what needs to be done after a day of skiing
No fancy IPA, NEIPA, or any kind of complicated heavy beer makes sense over here. It just feels like lager or maybe a Weissen will be the way to go. Just the whole idea of this beer in the sun with some snow on the background is enough, no tasting menus feel in place over here.

On the mountain at the Thaya
As I was writing in this post and also in this post I was in Ischgl which is apart from being an awesome skiing region also a region where there is enough social stuff to do afterwards.
One of the places where you can head to on the mountain is the Paznauner Thaya. Here you will find lots of summer beats and dancable tunes while you are still in your skiing clothes and shoes. No traditional German/Austrian apres ski music over here, this is like a festival in the snow on the mountain.
Nice to head to! The downside however is that this is still on the mountain and you still need to get down from here which you can not do by taking lifts. So you need to ski down and that in combination with a couple of brewskis is just not really a good idea.
So this place was an in and out for me, because I really also like the idea of getting down safe. You literally can see at the end of the day that drunk people are heading down on skis and a lot of stumbling is going on from there. You know...how people get themselves hurt from stupid stuff?
The vibe however at the place was really sweet though!

Better moments for beerskis
So when you ask me what the perfect moment for some beers are in the mountains...that is when your skiing day is finished and you don't have to go anywhere anymore.
Others also like the idea of going out in the night in these resorts... I find that that breaks a lot of the good snow in the mornings and you will miss it because you were out way too late, which is totally a bummer for the skiing day afterwards.
Just some food and in bed early, that is my tactic for these kinds of days.
Or after a nice day when you are still on the mountain but there is also a ride down and you don't have to do anything anymore. Those ones are the best!
That is also the cool thing from heading out in March versus in mid winter. The days are longer which also means that sitting out in the later afternoon is just super chill to do. The sun is still strong and there is a lot to see of people around you
And yeah the mountains...I could just stare at the mountains all day with a simple beer in my hand. With these kinds of views....what couple possible be better than ending your skiing day in these kinds of surroundings?
Everyone being satisfied after their day trip, the body feels soar after putting in all of the effort of the day. You open a beer, celebrate and evaluate the day and just chill.
Life is good dude
That would be my
cup of teapint of beer :) Skiing and sampling some nice brew ;)Reminds me of last year, when we went to Aprica, Italy, and visited a microbrewery there.
Oe microbreweries and then in the snow even? Love these kinds of micro climate things going on!
Well, skiing first, then drinking ;) You cannot drink and ski in Italy. But yeah, just a few hundred meters from the slope:

Damn that is nice! Honestly Italy for skiing seems like the bomb in general, already for food and drink wise..but I never got to do so...it is high on the list! Maybe not ski every day but also go for some food and beer trips or something.
This place looks super cool!
Visit Dolomiti Superski then - you can ski new slopes every day, it's huge :)
