Waiting | ZAPFIC50 MONDAY (4/1/24) | Prompt: grind
An interesting prompt this week, "grind" reminds me an arduous task given to someone or a state of mind one feels when undertaking a job that feels burdensome. These two ideas are not the normal use of the word whose action means to apply pressure to something to break it up into a smaller unit. For this week's ZAPFIC50 Monday challenge, I share with you my interpretation of the prompt that is told in exactly 50 words. This format was created by @felt-buzz.
My story is below:
Devastated by the news, calendars; pills; and injections ensured.
Anxious, the Edgewick's waited . Marcella cried, praying romance would return Brian sighed, then prepared for rituals that might result in conception.
Thoughts of avoidance ran rampant as uselessness of intimacy solidified.
Exhaling, two years later, the nursery window showcased Brian smiling.

Esta semana, "moler" me recuerda a una ardua tarea encomendada a alguien o a un estado de ánimo que se siente al emprender un trabajo que se antoja pesado. Thanks for stopping by. The couple faces infertility and must go through a regimen in order to conceive. It takes a toll on passion and romance. But they see the end goal. Thankfully, they are rewarded in the end.
