Hello @loveth97. Wild boars can definitely be dangerous, especially those with the long tusks some of them have. They can gore and maim you to death. The farmers were wise to be as cautious as they could and set traps first. But the main thing that probably kept them safe was to ensure they stayed in groups to help each other.

I was a bit scared for Bit Tim when he ran out of the woods with the pig chasing him. But then I had to laugh as he was ashamed of the incident. He knew that he'd be the butt of jokes if anyone found out. A nice addition to the hunting party's success. I was pleased to see all turned out well and their crops were saved for the coming years.

Thanks for sharing with delightful story. It reminds me of community and how anything can be accomplished with careful planning and listening to advice from all concerned. It was especially nice for the men to listen to their wives' concerns for their safety.
