We Women have multiple phases in our life where we go through hormonal imbalance, like monthly menstruation, pregnancy, menopause. Not only our physical but our mental health also gets impacted. Share with us, how do you take care of these sensitive times and take care of your physical and mental health?

My mental health is something I was struggling with for a long time even until now in adulthood and there are several reasons. The first reasons were stigmas and societal standards, for a while they ruined my brain. And being self-taught in several things helped me understand that there are things that I should not worry about other than just my happiness.

Now with these hormonal imbalances due to menstruation I did not suffer from them before, in fact it is a new world for me because since last year I started to suffer from this. I am suffering from premenstrual syndrome, and it is quite crazy because I get very emotional, quite sensitive, almost everything makes me sad and also to the same extent I get angry with so much phallicity that I feel so alien to myself. And what helps me is that I am aware of identifying why I am sensitive and I try to calm myself down, and believe it or not, eating chocolates or something that I really like helps a lot to regulate myself emotionally. I look for stimuli that produce serotonin and in that way I displace sadness and anger.

Las mujeres tenemos múltiples fases en nuestra vida en las que pasamos por un desequilibrio hormonal, como la menstruación mensual, el embarazo, la menopausia. No sólo nuestra salud física sino también nuestra salud mental se ve afectada. Comparte con nosotros, ¿cómo te cuidas en estos momentos tan delicados y cuidas tu salud física y mental?

Mi salud mental es algo con lo que estuve batallando mucho tiempo incluso hasta ahora en la adultez y son varias las razones. Las primeras razones fueron estigmas y estándares de la sociedad, por un tiempo me arruinaron el cerebro. Y ser autodidacta en varias cosas me ayudó a entender qué, hay cosas por las que no debo preocuparme más que solamente mi felicidad.

Ahora con estos desbalances hormonales por la menstruación antes no los sufría, de hecho es un mundo nuevo para mí porque desde el año pasado empecé a sufrir de esto. Estoy sufriendo del síndrome premenstrual, y es bastante loco porque me pongo muy emocional, bastante sensible, casi todo me provoca tristeza y también en la misma medida me enojo con tanta falicidad que me siento tan ajena a mi misma. Y lo que me ayuda es que soy consciente de identificar el por qué estoy sensible y yo misma trato de calmarme, y aunque no lo crean comer chocolates o algo que me guste mucho ayuda bastante a regularme emocionalmente. Yo busco estímulos que me produzcan serotonina y de esa forma desplazo la tristeza y la rabia.

Oh God! Premenstrual symptoms can make you think it's pregnancy because the symptoms are the same with that of early morning pregnancy. I am glad you have found a way to do away with it.

You are quite right with what you said about women mental health.
I remembered when I saw my menses first time and how remembering about next month drives me crazy
