Oh So Lonesome

Break Away Be Alone

Sitting alone perhaps a break from constant chattering crowds never lay blame, good decision taken, lonely highly doubtful, good company later when in the mood.

Solitary little birds very handsome to see, perched on grasses swinging in the breeze or branches high in trees, do what you want, when you want to.

Lets take a look, then take a guess as to what they are up to!

IMG_7573.JPG

Perched above the waters edge ready to swoop down and catch a fish, exactly what an African fish eagle is designed to accomplish in life, no partner peradventure displaying regally, ladies are in town.

IMG_7661.JPG

Shy glance over the shoulder, perhaps I'm small, but my type might just be hanging around this neck of the forest.

IMG_7940.JPG

Am I the right beau for you? Murmured the African stonechat from the next tree...?

IMG_7839.JPG

Nuff of that, I'm a labourer hard at work, men at work to make a future!

IMG_7843.JPG

See right below now I'm busy with construction, this is my apartment for tomorrow said black-collared barbet .

IMG_7848.JPG

While he's smashing away I'll grab some berries, all my own to enjoy for now....

IMG_8449.JPG

Then off to a higher apartment to construct my own, never stop to long said white-eared barbet you never alone, girls are watching silently in the surroundings.

IMG_8634.JPG

Started with fishing, so lets end it there, here the Pied kingfisher taking a break close to the waters edge, perhaps feeding young ones at the end of the day!

Thanks for sticking by the story telling, always fun trying to guess what our feathered friends are up to when out alone.

This infact is a nice guess by you about the birds. Its nice to see how unique these birds are - distinct by colours, habits etc. Nature's wonderful creations.

Happy Easter, Joan!

However, ours will be in May. Orthodox church uses different calendar and Easter is always on a different date.

Most the dates are mixed up coming from old beliefs into new. It's seasonal Spring in the North and Autumn down South.

Sometimes I want to know what's going on in their heads. If they have their own little worries like we do or if they're just contemplating their lives.
Truly majestic shots, Joan.🌹

Stunning bird photography Joan, it must have taken a lot of patience to get these shots! I love how the barbets are busily doing their construction work😉

Birds always busy, seldom take a break. Also enjoy watching different styles of home they create.

These are so lovely! I love the flirtaceous narrative to go with them - it will make me think forever more that birds are flirting with each other, and with me, flirting with live itself. I really dig that image!
