Hidden Bird

Hope Is The Thing With Feathers

Lets go in search of what is making the rustling sounds in the bush, sometimes you lucky to capture an unusual peep and smaller birds in hiding.

Camouflage between the green quite difficult to be seen, even with striking iridescent feathers well hidden reflective screening.

Mob tactics in a bush, you might see more than just two or three, invasion of berries they climb deep into the green, no longer seen from the outside looking in.

Sit still perhaps no one will notice, young enjoying end of day quietly surveying the world around, at first I saw two then on later inspection there are three. Often hidden deep in the tree you hear them without being able to see into the bush, ability to hide using their natural blend in colours.

Particularly small little bird gave slight movement making me zoom in to capture a closer look, still not sure whose baby she is as I never noticed parents.

Hide and seek of August, this little White Eye had me straining my eyes to try focus on who was rustling around in the Cane Palm, what a lovely surprise to eventually get a quick glimpse and snap.

Hope is a lovely surprise with feathered friends, wishing each one of you a wonderful weekend and happy hunting with your camera in hand.

How are you dear friend @joanstewart good morning
Birds are very intelligent beings equipped with camouflage that make hiding among the branches of trees their specialty.
What beautiful birds you found despite the fact that they have hidden from you, beautiful photographs
Have a beautiful afternoon

Apologies, late reply after no electricity, we hide in the dark more often than not, so hopefully it will shine on for longer.

Small birds hide for the slightest reason, large ones flying over they straight in a place of security.

Moments birds are amazing, I like it when they go on humming in groups in the early hours, I miss that from the park outside my place in Florida.

Happy weekend, had a chat with Grant 😉

Starlings do fly past late afternoons of late up to 50 at a time, Bulbul singing like crazy once again, each starting from dawn to dusk.

Florida Lake was a wonderful place to enjoy the bird life years ago, not so sure now.

Great you have connected, hope you get organized soon !LUV

Stayed by the lake back then it was a nice place to stay as I just walk to the lake to feed the ducks and relax back then.

Still a beautiful place but the lake need cleaning now as it is filled with stagnant leaves that are spreading across the lake.

Thank you, I hope so too.

More than likely water hyacinth taking over, by what I remember that lake was fresh water pushing up from far beneath the ground.

It will be nice if it is maintained, it is a beautiful spot in Florida for even picnic if residents don't want to travel far.

We walked down early Saturday mornings and back late afternoon, swimming, playing ball, just have fun.

As we got older one couple had a canoe which we used to paddle around, schools used the Public Pool, where many hours were spent as well.

As always you have so many feathered friends. Finding them sometimes is not easy. They know better how to protect themselves. Wonderful post, Joan. 🙂

Even when you know that they flew up into a particular tree or branch, it is sometimes as if they are magicians and can simply disappear! Good photos for this week's contest
