Hate It Or Love It Difficult Moments

Shopping Malls Hit And Miss

Individual option to drop into places you really enjoy, and/or detest, for me large shopping malls are claustrophobic, clamorous, boisterous people, a place I find no harmony or balance, windows bouncing glaring harsh lighting from every angle.

Smaller Mall We Frequently

Some say love don't hate it, they find deep satisfaction in mulling around window shopping, or standing in queue out of preference not to miss out. Over inflated prices, part of a treadmill, never end in buying 'things' one doesn't need.

After an outing we decided to pop into a mall to collect my favourite food, a bunny chow to enjoy at home, give myself night off cooking,

I relate it to a walk with the devil, spending time in throng of human buzzing, cacophony of noise, it's not appealing in my minds eye I did want a bunny, I almost never went indoors, now I'm glad I did to witness humans who do enjoy being social in places such as this.

Galleria Mall Much Bigger - Queue For Ice Rink - Hot Enough I'd Say

Difficult moments like this I find carrying my camera knowing the wait makes me uneasy, while waiting capture those around expressing excitement in goings on, focusing more on the positive joy a space brings to many, take my emotions out of the equation.

Happy Children While Playing Waiting Game

In answer to the first question this week, keeping control in difficult moments, I do need to distract myself, not climb into lifts or be in confined spaces, hang fire on extended visits.

Walking briskly is a quirk since young, under no circumstance comfortable in confined spaces, one needs to learn to cope throughout life with what we love or hate. Know what you need before entering malls, go directly preordained path, scrammed a prudent call to action.

Absolutely Delicious Bunny Chow Under Air Conditioner Back Home

Many thoroughly enjoy meandering, window shopping, looking for bargains, it's simply not my style, effects me more like our stifling summer heat.

Good morning dear friend
Everything you mention about these big box stores is totally true, things are in such a way that you always make impulsive purchases that have nothing to do with what you went looking for, on the other hand, it is a bad necessity, since these establishments They have almost everything we are looking for or can need, which means that even if we don't want to, we have to visit it.
Beautiful shots of the mall dear friend @joanstewart, I appreciate you sharing this experience
have a splendid afternoon

I make every excuse in the book not to go, smaller weekly stop off for food etc., is a necessity. Bunny Chow won me over, it normally does 🙃

Thanks for reading, I am sure you feel similar loving the outdoors far more!

I think this is the first time I am seeing you in some kind of outdoor activity. Haha

Well, I can understand your frustration but for the rich community this is the satisfaction. As they say money can buy happiness and their happiness is this (buying new stuff). Lol

I do have to go down once a week for grocery shopping, never take photographs not exciting watching prices go up and quality going down. Old architecture will hold me spell bound those I visited over the years mostly not on digital.

Thanks for visiting and kind comment in noticing my lack of interest in shopping malls !LOLZ

I can understand. Inflation was something we were struggling with but this decreasing quality isn't a good thing.

We are spending 💰 to buy bad quality stuff. Noo

No worries, I just roam around in search of good and attractive blogs written.

Knock on affect, no electricity supply for hours, shopping centers they rely on generators. Many forced to put solar up on roof to run business even when the power is not on. In our heat the meat and diary take a massive blow...., consumer always foots the bill!

Shopping malls are a bugger. I personally hate them but sometimes find myself in them and then think for a moment that they aren't so bad till I get out and think, thank feck!

Good to get a night off cooking though!

You would never visit Durban without being introduced to a Bunny Chow, I do make at home however a treat from one highly recommended place close by.

South Africa I feel went overboard with too many of these massive malls. Fun showing you they do exist, although hovering around outside on the first mall, then quick drop into the larger one where exit is right next to ice rink for hasty escape.

I thought I was weird cause I didn't fancy window shopping. I just don't understand the thrill in queues and all of that. I don't know what the name is but I sort of have a phobia of making bodily contact with anyone. So crowded places scare me to no ends. I am glad that you got to capture the smiling faces and all though. Hope you're doing well, Joan.

Take these spaces in very small doses, many of us simply don't enjoy being locked up in crowded places. Children at least are being entertained in the area I went into this time....

It is good to look for something to distract yourself, if we find ourselves in uncomfortable moments. I agree with you when you say that shopping centers are noisy and uncomfortable. Greetings friend, blessings.

When I don't have my normal camera I do resort to the cell, something to simply distract me from the mayhem around.

Like Silversaver888 I like to have my long term savings in silver and gold every month, unfortunately my favorite bullion retailer is located smack dab in a major mall. I worked out my parking to exactly the nearest stairwell with the shortest route in, buy my bullion, then out pronto. I pick up groceries at store along the way home rather than the Mall's Grocer. These places stress me out. I'm happier shopping at my neighborhood Thrift shop for clothes.

Weekly grocery shopping is in much smaller establishment, they also have side shops with clothing fortunately. Big malls I may enter once a year, normally for banking related problems or requirements. So glad I'm not the only woman that hates these big malls....

Avoid at all costs, my own sanity at risk, definitely not much to photograph here, reflection of delight on faces that do appear to enjoy these malls.

I have to know what a bunny chow is!!!!
Shopping malls, the same the world over, bland, boring, soulless, often noisy and crowded, the same shops and eateries. A necessary evil I guess.

A bunny chow is whatever you make it spicy, hot, tasty mutton, chicken or beans by @lizelle, always with sambals to accompany. Yummy good, small family businesses still supported! Learn to make your own it really is easy once you know how.

I shall investigate further the words spicy and hot have dran me in !!

What is handy is making a big pot, use some freeze some. Buy fresh loaf of bread each time to make either quarter or half depends on how hungry you are. Sambals required always fresh.

I hate crowded places. That's why try to avoid my outings to the mall. It makes me really anxious and panicky. !

Being enclosed makes me claustrophobic not pleasant at all, appears to get worse the older you become as well. To me it's never an outing, it's a chore!

a bunny chow to enjoy at home, give myself night off cooking,

Send me a bunny chow and you will be my most favorite person in the world right now! 😃
I miss it, can't recall when I had it last before I left SA. There was a time when I use to have it every other week from a spot in Malboro drive.

Nice to see a glimpse of Galleria mall, I was there, that mall is huge!

Make your own bunny not that difficult and could freeze half when making large batch. Fresh bread always available, sambals easy enough to make when ready for a great warm meal to share with friends or rental companion.

Top area at ice rink with eateries has parking up there (bit safer than lower levels), always visit Uncle Barry's family run business who have been there since the mall opened, also voted best bunny in town a couple of times.
