[Fan Art] My Healer Traits Contest Entry #2 + Mini HoloZing Progress Report

Mini Progress Report

Before I start with the art process for my second entry in the traits contest, I just want to review my Holozing progress report.

I increased my delegation to Holozing by adding 200 HP, a total of 550 HP currently. I want to earn more ZING in preparation for the release of the game. 🥳 Also, support to the whole Holozing community.

Next, my staked ZING has increased to 986.10 from 633.39.

Art Process

Since I drew a female healer, I want a male this time. I chose the light healer! 🥳 Loving the headgear already, and I want to suggest a little more. 😊

The first is to sketch the character. I sketched a tight portrait this time to emphasize the little details like the cuff earrings and hanafunda (Japanese playing card) earrings.

I used a solid brush for the lineart, and using different sizes and heights of the brush.

Using the color-pick tool, I copied the base colors from the original character. On another layer, I used a flat brush and airbrush for the shadows and lighting.

Final Art

Here, I sharpened the lineart plus some noise texture. The background is just a simple black, yellow, and white gradient.

My Asset Suggestion

Circlet with wings- The circlet (Sorry, if I am calling it the wrong name 😅) of this healer is simple yet elegant. In addition, I thought of putting mini wings on both sides of the head. My source of inspiration for this asset is this.

Eye X aesthetic- This is somewhat like a contact lens but with a design. It could be any design though but I find this simple red X on the eyes feels powerful and cool. 😁 Maybe a glow can highlight it further. Inspo.

Ear cuffs- Just an little ear decoration. 😁

Card earrings- This is inspired from the anime Demon Slayer. See Tanjiro, the main protagonist, here. I further researched the earrings and turned out they are actually called Hanafuda earrings, in English, playing cards. For the design, I copied the character's clothing design and then I added a hologram gradient in translucent opacity.
