Reflection Hunters Contest ~ Round 140 | Reflection in a quiet river

Hello, friends!
Despite the fact that it is still autumn on the calendar, it is already real winter in Siberia. The surrounding area is covered with snow, and the thermometer shows sub-zero temperatures. At such a time, it is especially pleasant to look at summer photographs in a cozy apartment and remember the hot sunny days.

At the beginning of August, my dog Sayan and I were walking along the bank of a small river. There was practically no wind or current in the river, and its surface was mirror-smooth. I enjoyed the peace and quiet, occasionally photographing the landscapes I liked, and the dog Sayan walked decorously next to me.

Despite the fact that the dog Sayan does not like to swim, the hot day still forced him to get into the water.

Unfortunately, the mirror-like surface of the water was disturbed by the dog’s movement, and the Sayan’s reflection was not very clear. The dog Sayan was not going to stand still and wait for the swell to subside, so me had to be content with the resulting photographs.
Having refreshed himself with river water, the dog Sayan went ashore, and the surface of the river again became mirror-like.
I try not to be close to the dog when he goes ashore, otherwise you can get caught in a shower of splashes when he shakes himself off.

The photos above were taken three months ago, on August 6th.
For contrast, here is a photo from today, taken during a morning walk with a dog in the forest. Unfortunately there are no reflections on it:
