Field Thrush | Feathered Friends - Show Me A Photo Contest Round 153

Hello, friends.
Last week, spring came to our region, apparently for reconnaissance. On some days the air temperature rose to +5 degrees Celsius. The snow melted, islands of clean earth appeared on the lawns. Alas, on Wednesday the north wind blew and winter returned.

But last weekend it was still warm, and the bird world rejoiced at the approaching spring. I photographed this Field Thrush on the lawn in the park.

In a sunny place the snow melted and a spot of clean earth appeared. The bird selflessly picked the ground with its beak, apparently looking for some kind of food, only occasionally looking around.

Pay attention to the beak of the field thrush; melted earth is stuck to it. It looks like after this meal the bird will have to clean its beak.

Previously, in my childhood, these birds flew to warmer regions for the winter and appeared here only in March. But apparently, in the winter, fieldfare thrushes have had enough food in the city lately, so some of them do not leave Siberia.

I am wondering whether the most cunning birds, who somehow realized that they can spend the winter quite comfortably in the city, or the weakest birds, who know that they still cannot withstand a long flight and remain out of hopelessness, remain here to winter here.

These are wonderful pictures of the bird with the snow.
It is curious indeed why they stay and ho to warmer places.

@nelinoeva thank you for support
I’m afraid that man, with his life activity, breaks the eternal laws of nature and this could backfire on nature
