Dawn on Lake Naroch | Reflection Hunters Contest ~ Round 161

Hello, friends.
Lake Naroch in Belarus reaches a width of 10 kilometers, so the opposite shore is often lost in the distance. Being on the western shore of the lake, you can watch the most beautiful sight - the sunrise. It seems to me that all the inhabitants of the lake and its surroundings accompany the dawn with some kind of ritual.

At the moment when the edge of the sun appears above the horizon, and from the shore it seems that the sun is floating out of the lake, silence falls around, the birds fall silent, and even the wind stops. A sunny path appears on the surface of the lake. This does not last long, only a few tens of seconds, and then the bird noise resumes with renewed vigor.

The sun rises higher and higher above the water and the world around is increasingly filled with sounds; it seems that all the birds of Lake Naroch are welcoming the birth of a new day.

Half an hour later, nothing reminds us of the mystery of the sunrise. All the inhabitants of the surroundings of Lake Naroch are already busy with their usual affairs, waterfowl swim and dive in search of food, a woodpecker knocks on an old pine tree, getting bark beetles for breakfast, even a snail crawls about some of its own snail-like business.
