Beetle with big mustache | PhotoFeed Contest - Macro Photography Round 66

Hello, friends.
Today for macro photography I chose pictures of a flower longhorned beetle on the remains of a yellow flower. I hope it wasn't this bug that ate this flower

Last summer, my wife and I went to the forest to take a break from the bustle of the city. We wandered along forest paths, listened to birdsong, and enjoyed the tranquility and tranquility of the surrounding world. While walking, we came across a clearing strewn with yellow flowers.

Taking a closer look, my wife noticed that long-mustache beetles were sitting on many of the flowers. I took some pictures of these beetles to find out their name and lifestyle.

At home I found the name of these beetles – flower longhorn beetle, Latin name “Brachyta interrogationis”. These insects are widespread in Central Europe, Russia, Kazakhstan, Mongolia, Korea, and Japan. Beetles feed on pollen and flower petals (so it is quite possible that the flower in the first photo was gnawed by this particular beetle)
