Energy of the taiga river | POBphotocontest New Round: ENERGY

Hello, friends.
Today I want to tell you about one small but picturesque place on the map of Siberia. These are the Gulyaevsky rapids on the Kazyr River. In this place you can clearly see the natural power of taiga rivers.

Here, across the river bed, hard, hard-to-erode rocks come to the surface, causing the water to swell and foam.

The taiga river Kazyr and the Gulyaevsky rapids are picturesque at any time of the year, but at the end of spring, during the flood, it is simply a mesmerizing sight.

A huge mass of water encounters a stone obstacle and, as if in surprise, rises, but from behind there is a continuous stream of water rushing down. As a result, water energy is converted into whirlpools and breakers. The power of water sharpens and moves huge boulders, uproots and carries away centuries-old trees.

Then, in the summer, when the water level in the river drops, you can walk through the places where the whirlpools swirled in the spring and see how the energy of the water processes and polishes durable stones.

In the summer, tourists will cross the rapids on rafts and boats, but in the spring, during high water, few can risk fighting the fierce power of taiga nature.
