Money became a clue

Paul was desperate. He wanted money. He was fidgeting around when his wife suggested that they watch a movie together. She switched on the television set and they began to watch the movie about some theater artists who were desperate for money and decided to kidnap a rich kid. The movie was a comedy and they enjoyed it but while watching the movie, Paul looked at his wife and told her his idea.
They roped in a few friends with a similar mindset and all was set. They traveled along the roads of the town and enquired about the new house. The locals did not suspect a thing. They noticed the small children walking alone to the next street after school to attend tuition classes. The next day, they came in a car and tried to kidnap the children. The boy tried to beat them with a stick but they grabbed the girl and raced off in the car. The boy informed the grandparents and then the police. The whole state was alerted. Social media shares and CCTV footage were broadcast on every station. The criminals knew they would be caught. Meanwhile, a ransom amount was asked but an intense search by the police forced them to leave the child unhurt in an empty ground. She was later returned to her parents.

The gang is still around and several other kidnapping attempts have been made. They got the motivation from the first kidnapping. It's true that they failed to earn money for the first attempt but that thing helped them to overcome their fear. They figured out their loopholes and tried to improve with time. As a result, they became an expert kidnapping team within a few months.

They used to do 3 kidnappings each month. The time interval was approximately 10 days between one kidnapping to another kidnapping. The state police became aware of it and they tracked the pattern of kidnapping. Realizing it the kidnapping team changed their pattern and they changed their 10 day interval to 8 days or 12 days or something like that randomly. It was very effective and it was enough to distract the police and the police lost the clue again.

Kidnappers became so expert that it became very hard to track them even with the help of a CCTV camera. Police created a new investigation team because of that issue and it became the most popular issue at that time. The parents of the children became more alert and afraid but nothing could stop the kidnappings. It was like the kidnappers were dominating the situation and nobody could do anything. They were fearless and that was very natural because they were successfully kidnapping for 7 to 8 months. They earned a huge amount of money but because of their greediness, they continued doing the tasks.

It's true that they didn't leave any clue for the police but somehow criminals make some mistakes or left some clues which become enough to reach them. And the same thing happened to them. The police started to track the bank details if any users deposited approximately similar amounts of money at the nearby time of each kidnapping incident. They also checked for accounts for whether a significant change occurred or not. Police found several accounts that gave them a suspicious feeling and they started to investigate more about it.

It was just a suspect and it was not enough to find kidnappers. So they started to collect details of those suspicious account owners. After that police started to follow all of them. Police didn't get any more clues and it was their only hope of them and fortunately after tracking those suspicious people for 15 days, they figured out the kidnappers while they went for the next kidnapping.

In the end, the money that deposited money in their bank account became the clue and the police caught them following the clue. After they get caught they receive the highest punishment for their illegal act from the court.
