Week 175: A Family Weekend

Another weekend is gone, but how fast the days go by, to think that soon we will be celebrating Christmas and receiving a new year, how crazy isn't it, how time goes by in no time, without realizing it, or maybe we do, but it's hard to accept it.

Anyway, the truth is that my weekends are no fun at all, I don't do anything extraordinary, I usually stay at home watching my movies or series, listening to music, working on my blog, more of the same.

Although in the last few months, I did do something different, and that is that I accompanied my mom to visit my aunt, who was sick, and well, we took advantage of going to see her as often as we could, between weekdays and weekends, until her condition began to worsen, and unfortunately she left us.

In the same way, my mom and I agreed that we were going to keep going to visit my cousins, since they were alone, and what better way to show them that they are not, that we are still there with them, than visiting them from time to time; only this time was special, since one of my other distant cousins (she is the daughter of my mom's aunt), the truth is a little complicated to explain it, but we are all family there haha,😄 anyway, she had a birthday.

We took the opportunity to share some time, at my deceased aunt's house, with my cousins, we ate, we talked, and of course, we had her respective cake, she did not expect it, but she deserved it, since she was with my aunt helping, accompanying, really, in moments like this, is where you see, who you really count on.

You know, one of the things that bothers the most, is that people like to criticize a lot, and if they don't see you lying, screaming, cutting your veins, then they talk and say that it doesn't hurt, they have to see you bad, to be able to say, it really hurts, but if they see you calm, continuing with your life, that's where they judge you, point at you, and crucify you.

The pain goes inside, no one knows what that person suffered, suffered, and did for their loved one, they do not necessarily have to be crying for the corners of the wall, to show your pain, life goes on, it is time to move forward, with such, we all go to that same hole, we will all die, at some point, but while we are here, we must continue with our lives, even if it hurts, even if we miss that loved one, that we will no longer see, especially when it is a mother, which is the greatest pain that a child can have.

Today we are here, tomorrow we don't know, that's why we have to be thankful for each day, that we are still here, for what we have, I hope you had a good weekend.

Delicious cake, friend!! I would like a piece of it, hahaha. I've enjoyed reading your post, girl. And agree with you, sometimes the simplest plan may be the rightful plan. I feel you, sis.

It really is like that, we don't have to be crying in the corners to show others our pain, although it sounds hard, it's like you say, life goes on and well the truth is that not all of us can express our sorrows in the same way, everyone is different.

By the way, that plate of food looks delicious 🤤

If so, no one knows what you really feel, it is best not to opine, and let each one be, thanks for reading, if that food was very good jiji, greetings.😄

Pain goes on the inside, that's how it is and no outsider will ever know what you are feeling or what you are going through. How nice that you could be there for her birthday, the best thing is that she didn't expect it and it was a nice surprise.

Hug @ikigaidesign ❤️

Words are indeed a powerful tool, allowing us to express ourselves freely. However, with this freedom comes the responsibility to choose our words thoughtfully. While spoken words can uplift, educate, and inspire, they also have the potential to inflict unseen wounds! 😖

Thank you for the reminder that the impact of our words goes far beyond what we might initially perceive, underlining the importance of using language with empathy, understanding, and a conscious awareness of their potential to both harm and heal! 😊

Congrats on being selected as one of the winner for the #weekend-engagement topic for the week!
