In line with Nutrition Month, I'd be happy to share a few recipes or food I prepared for my LO when she was less than a year old. She was around 8 to 10 months when I started preparing her food. I did the BLW method too.

Fish and Vegetable Soup
By: @cindee08

-

Because July is National Nutrition Month, I created my own recipe for fish and vegetable soup as my entry in the hiveph KwentongKusina contest. In our region, this dish is known as "kusido," and the main components are fish, sweet potato tops, and kalamansi. However, for my own adaptation, I will use milkfish and additional types of vegetables in order to boost the nutritional value of the soup.

This is to demonstrate that preparing healthy meals doesn't have to be extravagant, expensive, or complicated.

Craving for some Shawarma Rice? Tara luto tayo!
By: @yen1503

-

Last Friday when my husband asked me to cook some Shawarma Rice as he's craving for it. We dont usually buy some Shawarma Rice outside as we both dont like the taste of curry in Shawarma. I dont know if its just me or is there anybody else here related to us.

Hive PH Blogging Contest: KwentongKusina
By: @usagigallardo015

-

A brilliant idea for this month of July as the rainy season comes more water creatures are seen on our water world. And I know some of my friends here knows our situation on our current location. And hiveph contest is so perfect for my #kwentongkusina's entry. I'll also be flexing my husband and my sons pure skill in catching shrimps or ulang. And why did I call it pure skill because they only used their hands to catch it. Yes not only them but other people who also lived on our place. You need a lot of strategy to survive.

Hello, foodies! I'm back for another exciting episode of Let's Cook with Yza. Today, we're going to whip up a healthy Filipino favorite dish: Vegetable Lumpia. Cook Merienda With Me | #KwentongKusina
By: @themedwhowrites

-

I do not usually cook for my family, there are just times when I feel like cooking. I am not actually good at cooking and there are just a few dishes that I know how to cook. The majority are merienda dishes that I learned from my grandmother.

And so for this blog, I will make a step-by-step guide on how I cooked our yesterday's merienda --- Pinakru. It is a Bicolano food that uses bananas as the main ingredient, particularly the saging na saba.

Bas-uy sa Saluyot!
By: @yoieuqudniram

-

Not everyone likes bas-uy. some(my mama) prefers to cook vegetables by sauteeing the meat first and then adding the vegetables and it is what I got used to. My husband introduced me to basy-uy and I liked it, no oil, just natural and so healthy.

MY VERSION OF ADOBONG TAKWAY
By: @jenthoughts

-

Today, I will share to you my version of ADOBONG TAKWAY.

Adobong takway is a Filipino dish that the main ingredient is Taro shoots or takway as most people call it locally. It is like a taro young roots. This is my own definition on how I observed it. When left unharvested, this takway will grow and become another taro.

My own version of Chopseuy.
By: @zehn34

-

Vegetables are really expensive nowadays. We can only eat and cook once or twice a week or sometimes two times a month chaaar, lol. It is because of inflation. My kids don't eat a lot of vegetables either. It's like when I was young I didn't like to eat vegetables too. Now I am more inclined to eat vegetables. We need vegetables for our body to be energetic because it is nutritious. This month of July we are celebrating "Nutrition Month". And this is what I thought to cook, Chopseuy.

Wholesome Food Pleasures
By: @john0928

The price of the goods today is like the price of gold, that's why we are planting vegetable and fruits in our backyard. And the time has come for us to harvest what we have planted. July 5, 2023. Around 8 am I passed by our yard and noticed that our mulberry plants were bearing fruit. There are so many fruits but the ripe fruits are only few. I took the ripe ones and planning to make a mulberry shake.

Around 3 pm, mom said that I should dig the cassava plants roots because it might have a fruits already. and mom is right.. The cassava roots are to big it just like a size of my arm .

Ginataang Manok With Some Spice, It's Gastronomelicious!
By: @jane1289

-

This is Ginataang Manok with some spice which also known as Chicken Curry.

I'm not a fan of curry nowadays, but it was one of my favorites before. However, when I crave something spicy with coconut milk, that's the only recipe that comes to mind. I never tried any other meat curry but only chicken curry. There are affordable frozen (free-range) whole chickens here, so I usually go for them.

I added some natural ingredients to make a different version. But this is definitely healthier and yummier.
