Ladies Of Hive Contest #174// 29th Feb Birthday Celebration

Birthdays are unique days in everyone's life though not everyone one finds it a pleasure to celebrate it. Personally, I don't care so much about hosting parties on my birthday day but try my best to do things that are of eternal value at least people will always look back and thank the day I was born. This is not to say that giving big parties are bad, it's just my line of choice.

Happy New Week dear sisters, this week will speak blessings to us all.

Thank You to @elizabethbit for this great topic. February is one special month that most people look forward to first it represents lots of things. For we in the arthodox setting it is always the beginning of Lent for us in most years and some years lenting season begins from March. In my record I can't remember meeting with someone that is celebrating his birthday on 29th of February until I got married. My husband's Nephew celebrates his birthday on that day. His first birthday after I got married was 4 years back. He insisted with his parents that they organize a party for him because his birthday gets to be featured in the calendar once in 4 years. His parents granted his wish.

If am to be in his shoes, I will not ask for something less than that because it sounds strange for one not to celebrate his day every year.

I enjoy the month of my birth, infact I can't ask for a better month than that because it represents lots of things for me. My way of celebration is so simple, do good to those that needs goodness for me that has more lasting memories. Most times I walk round the streets and get to receive greetings from kids I don't know...most times I take it with all joy because they maybe those that have been impacted through my work.

Just do things they way you will be happy and always think of how others will be happy too. Thanks for stopping by.

It would seem maybe only right to celebrate once every 4 years. I personally am not sure which I would prefer, hence my reason for the question as I wanted to see what everyone thought. Thanks for sharing and have a lovely and blessed week!🤗💜

Interesting your nephew (by marriage) was born on February 29. On what day does he celebrate his birthday when it's not a leap year? @hivedeb !LADY

Celebrations like this is a way to lift ones spirit and truth be told I wouldn't want to miss celebrating anything that make me happy.
