Today is the week since I published an extraordinary Thematic Challenge with a subtitle (topic)
Do not be afraid, it is still true that this challenge will end on April 21, 2021. Because no one reads old articles, I will remind you of this extraordinary challenge from time to time.
What is the purpose of this extraordinary challenge?
- Long-term "data collection" about one specific object
- Recording of changes that occur during the observation
Do I really need to create a slideshow or GIF?
Yes, it is necessary. The "changes" of an observation object are best recorded with photographs. But can you imagine that I will "bite through" dozens of photos when evaluating your competition article?
And what about the text part?
That's a bit of a nut :-). The text should have at least the following breakdown:
- at the beginning it is necessary to write what object and why you chose to observe
- how long your observation lasted
- describe your changes in the object of observation
- You can also add alerts to the place in the slideshow or GIF where the change is most noticeable
When can I submit the results of my observations to the extraordinary Thematic Challenge?
You can publish interim results at any time as a "regular" article for the ANC.
Around 14.3.2021 I will publish a separate article for this challenge, where I will again call for participation in the extraordinary challenge. You will then include a link to your article with the final results of the observations in the comments.

So that I don't just mention theoretical "nonsense" here, I invite you to a little "tasting" :-)
I often walk around a neighboring pond. I like this place and I often take photos of it. The most beautiful are the mornings, when no one is here. It is possible to observe ducks, morning mist, rising and falling levels and much more.
Maybe the winter season is not the best time for a longer observation, but I still started. I chose the side of the tributary for observation and from there I take my photos. Only a week so far.
A significant change occurred on the second day of observation (first and second images). At night, ice covered the surface of the pond. There must have been a severe frost because the change took place all at once.
I wonder if I will notice other changes during the next observation.

I hope for some really nice entries.. This special has huge potential .. I only did a over time series with the Rhododendron once. II hope that the botanicalgardens open again soo.so that I can try somethingout there too ^^
This quarterly challenge has its potential and significance. By March, I will write a few more articles where I will promote it. Many people do not realize that the object of observation is not necessarily outside.
I can imagine that someone will make a timeline, for example, growing flowers in a pot and write under what conditions they watched this growth.
