Hello, community, and @qurator team greetings. today making some ocean flavors for @qurator's hive top-chef theme Ocean flavor.
Actually, I made this dish 2 weeks before without knowing of this contest will come up.
Here I made Norwegian-style poached salty cod with carrot sauce.
this dish I made according to my requirements for ingredients. so I didn't made a photo of the Ingredients
I used:
350 grams of cod fillet is already salted.
1 carrot
1 tbsp flour
2 tsp butter
1 tbsp sour cream
1 tbsp chopped parsley
1 tsp black pepper.
1 tsp lemon juice

faa.jpeg
The fish is salted so it has to be soaked in ice-cold water for around 1/2 hour

In a pan boiled water and dropped one by one fish fillet.
Just after 1 minute covered the pan and turned the heat down low.
And kept a while.

Cleaned and peeled carrot chopped into small slices.

In the pan added a little water and started cooking them for just 2 minutes.

After heating a small iron skillet added 2 tsp butter.

f5.jpeg
added 1 tbsp flour in the melted butter

f6.jpeg
Stirred it until got aromatic.

f7.jpeg

Added roasted flour to the cooked carrot.

f8a.jpeg

Added pepper and stirred it started getting thicker.

Added around two ladles of water from cooked fish, the water was salted and more flavors of fish so no extra salt was used in this dish.

Added chopped parsley

Sour cream

f8f.jpeg
1 tsp squeezed lemon juice in it.

f9.jpeg
The sauce is ready.

Made some baked vegetables together with fish.

Chopped some vegetables I found in the storage basket
Small pumpkin slice, 1 sweet potato, a few potatoes, few Brussels sprouts.
Washed peeled and cut into slices,
Blanched them in boiling water for 3-4 minutes.
Drain water and added some Dried rosemary, sage, thyme, black pepper, and salt.

Sprinkled all spices.
Some cornstarch-coated vegetables nicely.
And baked at 200 for 20 minutes.
