Having an actual job as a youth especially in my country goes a long way to save you from having to deal with home stress especially when you live with African parents. For somebody to be focused at work he or she requires to be stress free, mentally, psychologically and even emotionally. But to be honest, that cannot be achieved if you will stay with your parents, because you will be expected to compromise. The worst that can happen is that you are jobless, always at home and at the same time staying with your elderly parents. In African homes, these can be stressful because they somehow do not have full respect for your privacy, your time and tend to call or message you at any given time and this can be stressful and frustrating most times.

This is why sometimes I prefer to work full-time than have a remote job or basically if I have a remote job I would like to drop by the office at least 2 times or three times a week. I see going to work everyday as an opportunity or an escape rate from the numerous and everyday tasks that awaits me at home. It often times give me the opportunity to multitask, be vibrant and punctual in most of my activities that are planned out. Also having a job no matter how tedious it can be, helps me to build my capability as a human being to be able to manage both work and home activities.

As an individual, I love change of place or environment from time to time, it's exhausting to be confined in a particular space for a long time. Even as an introvert I still love to go to places and experience a different scenery apart from home. For instance, I remember back in school, I would assure myself that I would stay home throughout that day and would focus on studying but at the end of the day I realize that I achieved nothing and could not focus entirely because of setting distractions like cooking, snacking, pressing my phone, watching TV, dozing off at certain times and so on. But the moment I plan my time and go to the library to study even if it's just for a few hours I end up as simulating more than when I am at home. Then I realize that studying at home can only be fruitful and accomplished at night time or early mornings.

My point is that the kind of environment I find myself determines how healthy I would accomplish tasks. So I prefer to work experience the hustle and bustling of doing my duties and at the same time combining those with household activities.

This is my participation for the @ladiesofhive community contest that comes up weekly organized by the amazing team members, for more details you can check through this link

despite how strong your work may be, do you take it as an escape from the everyday tasks of the home?

Thanks for stopping by my blog...

Up until recently, I've worked just at work. With a change in office software, I find that I am doing some things from home as I can access them now, which leaves more time to focus on the work at work. This would be great, but my job is 3 days a week, and since this new change, I find I end up working almost 4 days. Not good when in reality, I need to take my 4 days off and really be off for the time.

I can understand how your schedule works for you. It is good to shake it up and change things now and again. It tends to keep us motivated, I believe.

Thank you for sharing and have a lovely day!
