LOH #168: CHANGES I EXPECT IN MY COUNTRY THIS YEAR 2024

Hello hivers, Happy Sunday.

The weekend was such a short one that came to an abrupt end. I didn't even enjoy it as it was packed with activities here and there. But so far so good, the new week is about to start and what better way than getting engaged with the #ladiesofhive community contest. The prompt is about how I intend to implement changes in 2024 that has to do with my personal finances and individual self and also the kind of change I intend to see in my country Nigeria, hopefully one that makes the world better and changes people's lives positively.

Any major changes planned for in 2024, or continuing as in the past?
Let us know what you see requires change in your country, region, or home.

Definitely when starting a year you either plan ahead for how you want it to go. While you can confidently plan for some aspects , there are others you cannot plan for because you do not know what the outcome will be like at the end, there could be changes along the line. From one of my previous post I explained how I took charge of my finances in 2023 and I intend to do better.

For me personally, all I want to practically achieve is the intention to to save more than I have ever done before because this year looks promising and I do not want to be caught financially stranded.

Subsequently, I have great expectations and hope that some changes happen in my country. For instance, I hope to see a change and advancements in technology. These would have to include upgrades and breakthroughs in artificial intelligence. We are already aware 5hat the introduction of the AI technology in Nigeria is making waves but somehow it has not been fully implemented by people in the country. Some people still lack the knowledge of using this tech development for the benefits of their businesses, education, career and so on.

Also, I would like to an expansion in the data subscription and a more reliable wireless connectivity to more regions globally. I believe Nigerians understand the plight of having to subscribe heavily for data subscription only to last lesser than expected. There should be a change by regulating telecommunications prices and what they offer, instead of ridiculous datas. Hopefully, in this 2024,there should be a wide coverage of the 5g expansion to all part of the country.

Lastly, I hope to see changes in the areas of healthcare provisions and educational structures for both the urban area and especially the rural areas by the government. In several local governments we see dilapidated structures that are used as hospitals and schools, some are even too risky that they can collapse at any time. Sometimes students are cramped into small classes and there are no educational materials to teach and impact knowledge. Also, the dilapidated structures are so bad and even the few good ones are lacking basic amenities to treat patients.

In conclusion, I really do hope that certain measures are put in place to change the situation of things in the country as they affect the people or citizens of the country.

Thanks for stopping by my blog...

These changes you wrote about are what I also wish would happen. If only the government was sensitive, then it would seek to implement all the above mentioned in the country.

Africa needs to change their perspective, we are neither East nor West, grow within our own design, everyone working together to move this Continent out of poverty or being reliant on others through education.

Cost of data is completely out of control where prices move or simply get less, appears with our electricity and water supply as well. Keeping control over finance this year is going to be a tight squeeze, support local at all cost!
