8 April, 2025, @marianwest's Free write Writing Prompt Day 2700: Morsel
In my community, people often prioritize quantity over quality. They're more concerned with getting enough to eat than with the taste or texture of their food. As a result, our taste buds became accustomed to seeking satisfaction rather than sweetness. Only the wealthy could afford to indulge in small, luxurious treats, which we referred to as "morsels."
Growing up, our taste buds were limited to whatever was available and affordable. We didn't have the opportunity to try new things or experience different flavors. That was until a game-changer arrived on the scene – a product called "The Morsel." At first, people were skeptical and didn't pay much attention to it.
However, the producers of The Morsel had a clever strategy. They priced it at a flat rate that was affordable for everyone, and they targeted the children in the neighborhood. Every child wanted to try this tasty and appealing bite-sized treat, and parents couldn't resist their children's requests.
As the children enjoyed The Morsel, they asked for more, and their parents became curious about what made it so special. They decided to try it for themselves and were hooked. The Morsel was so sweet and delicious that even the elderly couldn't resist its charm.
