HIVE REWARD POOLS
Hello Everyone, welcome to another great Day. Guess your day is going fine. A couple of days ago a space show was hosted on x(twitter) by inLeo i am not happy i missed it though but i'm excited i still get to talk about it. The space show hosted was on the discussion: The Hive reward pool.
Hive blockchain is a decentralized social media platform which allows users to earn cryptocurrency by creating and curating content. Hive operates similarly like other block chains but the focus is on decentralized social media and content creation. The major features of the blockchain is the Rewards gotten by content creation. This is done by upvotes, author's reward and curation reward. In the case of upvote, rewards and curation you stand to earn a reward pool.

During the space show, the following questions were asked.
• What is Reward pool?
• From where should the rewards come?
• Can they come from other source apart from that of the reward pool?
• How should the content creation be rewarded to make it more fair for the authors and the hive blockchain?
Addressing the Above questions, we will first get to know what Reward pool is.
WHAT IS A REWARD POOL?
Reward pool are fixed amount of Hive tokens allocated to network reward fund. These get distributed to authors and curators for posting and voting on content. Up to 50% of a post's payout is awarded to curators as a reward for discovering the content while the other 50% is awarded to the author.

That is to say that a certain amount of hive tokens are distributed daily. The reward pool give users token for participating in the platform based on the value they add. The reward comes from these pool and the amount of reward we get depends on the votes that our contents receives from other users. Communities like InLeo, ecency distributes rewards to those that uses their frontend.
Reward pool is a very decentralized way to spread the token. It can come from different sources ranging from transactions fee gotten from the network, funding wallet to reward users on a given project, staking coins to support the platforms or project. It can also be genetated in different platforms. Each platform or project determines how they want to raise their rewards and how it will ve distributed .
Content creation is a vital activity on the hive blockchain and each content should be rewarded in a way that is fair to both the authors and the blockchain.
