There comes a time

1000024417.jpg

It's happened to me on many occasions and usually at the very time I need it the most. When things get complicated, stressful, difficult or just when energy ebbs to a low point...that's often when it happens and my inner dialogue says...

"There comes a time when one must go to the fucken beach, and that time is now."

So that's what I did.

We just cant get enough of the beaches in this part of the world either. It just does not get much better on a nice day!

Indeed, and aren't we spoilt for choice here in Australia.

...when you hear a certain call. 🎵 🎶
Sorry, I'll read now, but I had to finish the sentence with the song. Couldn't resist.😁

I don't know which song you refer to; it is a Taylor Swift song?

No, that one they sing a lot of artists Michael Jackson included"We are the world" I think is the title...lyrics goes so,so like this ..."there comes a time, when you hear a certain call, when the world must come together as one..."
I'd better drop the link...😁

Ah ok, I wouldn't have picked it. I saw a documentary on the making of that song, the recording of it, only a few months ago. It was quite interesting. I'm not a fan of Michael Jackson though, I don't support paedophiles.

When I listen to a song and it hits me today, it just does. That song can be sang for a good artist that can also be a good person worth to admire in both be ways. Years later that artist become a bad person or does wrong shit, my criteria about the artist being a good person changes to an asshole...but that song that stays in my playlists cause my musical likes didn't change though my personal opinion and judgment certainly did.
That's what happens with Jackson, I'm not a fun either and certainly not a phedophilies supporter, but I like a couple of old songs he made and got to me way before the shity issues that came later.

He was certainly talented, but quite troubled as a person I think whi hbis rather sad. Oh well, he's dead and gone now and it's up to others to step up.

Well, just read, there comes a time when I need a fucken beach as well and there's no beach in miles around so ...
Good luck at the beach.

There comes a time for...andying that makes you feel engaged with your own life and the valued people around you...doesn't have to be a beach.

Well, Hell. I'm actually doing quite well. Most of the time. I'm seriously struggling with getting fucking old. Lotta shit I can no longer do. But I can put my face in the wind for a few hundred miles-Lotta pleasure in that, I gotta say.

Ah yes, that old chestnut, getting old. It happens to the best of us I suppose and it beats the alternative (not having the chance to get old). I get what you mean though, it's inhibiting at times and yet the mind remembers the good old days and wants to replicate them.

Yep.

Though it seems J is still struggling with the fact that two of the kids are adults and the youngest one is perfectly capable of looking after himself for a few hours as when I've wanted to go to the beach previously his excuse was the kids wouldn't wake up in time and we'd be gone for ages XD

Hmm, I reckon those kids would wake up soon enough, probably when they get hungry I guess. I was always a pretty early riser as a kid, probably due to being a country kid and always itching to get into something or other...there never seemed enough hours in the day.

They got up early when tiny, then they hit teens and wanted to stay up later and wake up later. Now it depends entirely on what they were doing the night before (the boys will sometimes be up late gaming with their friends for example) and what they have the following morning (if there is something on or if they just feel like getting up early or if they're particularly tired they will go to bed on time or at least not whinge too hard when they're dragged out).

There's still never enough hours in the day x_x

Looks like a great beach! Kind of rare to find them that empty!

It's not that rare here in Australia, that's an every day occurrence here, something to do with the fact we have so much coastline and so many beaches I guess, and that there's not that many people...and this was on a week day. If one was to go to that hideous beach in Sydney called Bondi Beach it'd be a different story, but only tourists like it there. There's a kit festival on Easter weekend at my local beach and there'll be at least 73 million people there that day, so a little more crowded.

0

Oh, I guess that makes sense about the coastline. We have a lot of that where I live too, but much of it is really rocky and people don't visit those beaches as much. Wow, that is definitely a lot of people!

You had it bad alright, bad enough to brave the sand. Looks like it was a good day for it.

Me and sand don't like each other. Well, not true exactly; it loves me and all of my cracks and crevices, I hate it though. Still, on days like this one I'm ok to man up and brave it.

0

There are other benefits to the beach that may mitigate the sand somewhat...good manning up

Indeed there is and so I cowboy up when I'm there for the greater good.

Didn't you just LOVE the sand in between your toes and finding it's way up your ass if you sit down? I know you did!

The sacrifices we make for the women in our lives, it's truly a Braveheart-esque situation.

Oh yeah, I love how it makes its way into every nook and cranny and stays there for ages no matter how many times I shower. So enjoyable. #hatesand

Having said that, my bravery knows no bounds and so from the moment I stepped upon that sand I just pushed through in glorious fashion.

Normally, I love visiting the pool with friends and families. It's always fun having people you know around. But when ever you see me go to the pool alone, then there is something I really just want to clear off my head. And I have been doing that for the past 3 to 4 years now.

There are no beaches around here, I would have loved to visit one, but I will one of these days.

Creating an ideal life does not necessarily mean going to exotic places or spending lavishly on one's self. It's simple doing things and going places that makes you feel better, even if it's the lake or the mountain.

The pool is ok, at least there's no sand. When you finally make it to the beach you'll get to enjoy the feeling of getting sand in every crack and crevice of your body. So good. 😁

My history with the beach has always been chequered. I can go a few years without going, even up to 5 years and suddenly my friends convince me and it happens like last year I went three times... In 2025 I haven't had a chance, what I do know is that I won't go during the high season of Easter, I hate so many tourists in one place, so we will wait a little longer.

This beach looks beautiful, I love that you always look for the opportunity to take a good picture... Hey!, I was never bothered by the sand until my last visit to the beach in October last year, I swear it was December and there was still sand inside the seam of my shorts pockets! 🫠

When you get sand up your ass and behind your ears for long enough you'll learn to hate it. 😂

I never go to crowded beaches which in Australia is quite easy because we have so many of them; the entire country is surrounded by beaches. I'm not much of a lover of the sand to be honest, but I tolerate it which is good considering I live very close to the beach (the one in my image) and am there a lot.

🤣

Possibly I have been lucky because the waves here are not so grotesque, I think that in Australia going to the beach is quite an adventure, I have even seen news of shark attacks 😖

Here in Venezuela there are many beaches, but people always look for the same ones and it is too much for my wife and me. I'm planning with some colleagues from the choir to go on a normal Monday, and we often have it free for the weekend concerts, I hope so, I need a beach, and take good pictures of the scenery too 🙏

Yeah, we have a lot of sharks but it's ok (if one is Australian) they only eat tourists. Ok, not really, they are quite indiscriminate.

there are many beaches, but people always look for the same ones

This makes no sense to me. I'd much rather be on a beach (or anywhere) without other people.

Get to that beach and when you do...break into song with your choir buddies...drop a hat in front of you and passersby might drop some money into it. 😊

It sounds like a joke, but once in a restaurant they came up to us and asked if we sang at weddings hahaha. Thanks for the feedback bro, I died laughing with the indiscriminate sharks 😅

Thank you very much! So far, I am enjoying myself! Friday evening I made the usual TV dinner. I made food while listening to loud music and drinking a few beers. I am not much of a drinker but it was lovely to let go a bit. But I am a responsible drinker so I did not overdo it! No accidents, no hangover.

We then ate - Cheesy/Spicy Nuggets and hand-cut potato chips and all manner of sauces and such and we watched Star Trek.... that's while other story.

Anyway. Good stuff altogether. It is Saturday morning and I have a LOT to do! Cheers!

Get into your Saturday and get 'er done!

I confess that I would be a big fan of the beaches if the sand was not such an annoying lake, it is difficult to get home without sand on my clothes, in my car, or on anything that has been on the beach.

Yep, sand gets everywhere and I don't really like the feel of it but even worse than that is getting it in my vehicles. No Bueno.

Going back to your previous answer... I accept the price the beach sets for me in terms of sand. What I can't stand are crowded beaches. And that you see in the picture is perfect.

Oh yeah man, crowds are not my thing. This photo was taken at my local beach not far from home and I'm happy to say it's rarely very crowded.

For me to get to the beach I have to travel hundreds of kilometers 😞, and I particularly like the ones in the north of Spain, for several reasons, one of them is that there are still beaches that are little visited. Here we have mountains, and the luck to have a lot of water in them in rainy years. It is not the same as the beach but the sound of the streams is quite relaxing and there are usually few people.

Sorry, because of the error I have a big technical problem that prevents me from working and is somewhat distracting. My router has been hijacked, so I can't do online sessions because of confidentiality, and from time to time I have to communicate with tech support.

Again, happy weekend!!!

Even if you don't like the sand, because it is annoying, it brings many benefits and the beach with the sun and the sea are healing. The sea water above all relaxes and energises you. Bad times happen and they will pass. I am glad you went to that beautiful beach. Hugs!

A walk on the beach is definitely relaxing and can fill those who go with that intention with good vibes, I'm glad you had that moment of enjoyment.

I'm curious to know if you took a swim in the sea and I'm also curious about the shape of the sand, I hadn't seen anything like that.

And, also, I want to thank you for all the support you have left me, it has been a great surprise. Thank you very much! 🤗

There was no swimming, it was a cool day despite the fact it looks warm. As for the ripples in the sand, as the tide goes out it can pull the sand into those shapes as the water runs out.

No worries on the support, you're welcome.

Here in Caracas the heat is scorching, a good beach bath comes in handy, I want to go soon but for the next few days I think it will not be possible, when the time comes I will make the most of it.

Thanks for explaining me about the sand.

It's been a long time since I went to the beach. and here I am.. I live like just minutes to the nearest beach.

I also understand that low energy feeling. I am just getting back to hive after a month of doing nothing but watching stuff on netflix and sleeping most of the day.
