There are foods that are universal, because in every country on the planet there is a version of that food, and this is the case of SANDWICHES, a dish almost as old as humanity, because ever since man learned to make bread, sandwiches emerged. That's why the Foodies Bee Hive Community has decided to hold a FOODIE CONTEST: SANDWICHES, in which you will make a sandwich (vegan or non-vegan), in which you use your creativity as one of the main ingredients.

WINNERS OF THE PREVIOUS FOODIE CONTEST (CHOCOLATE CAKES)

In the last week of August 2023, we ran a Foodie Contest: CHOCOLATE CAKES, with 6 entries, all excellent, that we have decided to award, with 200 $foodie tokens each. Also each of the six participants receives 50 @ecency points courtesy of witness @sagarkothari88.

And on this occasion, we have decided to make an exception, and we have awarded prizes of 1 HBD to each of the three best cakes. The three participants that we have decided to select as winners, due to the high quality of the recipes they presented, are: The winners are: @emybaby @oddajosefi and @marlyncabrera.

For this contest, @mita3 she tells us about her childhood memories, when she was a girl who didn't like chocolate, but once she discovered this wonderful food, she couldn't stop eating it. So she made a delicious cake that is a cacophony of chocolate, because there is never too much.

[ES-EN] Torta de chocolate húmeda / Moist chocolate cake

For @chacald.dcymt and her family, chocolate ice cream is something delicious and important, that's why she has learned how to prepare it. And since she wanted to celebrate her birthday and at the same time participate in the Foodie contest, she made a delicious cake, where she combined that exquisite chocolate ice cream with a cake, also made of chocolate; two recipes in the same great post, with a very well developed step by step.

To participate in this contest, @anacarolina2022 turned to her childhood memories, when her mother prepared her a delicious cocoa cake, which she filled and covered with chocolate, so she made a recipe inspired by those memories, to obtain a delicious cake and versatile.

In order to participate in this contest, @oddajosefi had to overcome difficult circumstances (especially in Venezuela), since she ran out of gas to cook; and when the gas cylinder arrived, a valve in the kitchen broke, and then the regulator of the cylinder burst in her hand. Fortunately, these events were not more serious, because they could have had a very unfortunate result. God protected her and her family.

And she showed off her creativity, and adapted a recipe that she made years ago for her son, using red beans as the main ingredient. She modified this recipe, creating a wonderful chocolate cake, which is scrumptious, and has been another of the winners of this contest.

Chocolate-"Topocho" Banana Cake

Being slightly allergic to gluten, @marlyncabrera has been replacing flours with other ingredients, including bananas; and for this occasion she used a very special variety of bananas: Topochos, which combine wonderfully with chocolate, creating a wonderful cake that she shared with us in a beautiful post, where she also offers us important tips for making this recipe. She has also been selected as the winner of this contest.

That being said, let's see in more detail what this contest consists of

CONTEST CONDITIONS (PLEASE READ EACH ONE CAREFULLY)

  • Only one post per participant will be accepted.

  • The recipes to share will only be for SANDWICHES. You must prepare a SALTY sandwich, with a filling with a minimum of 9 ingredients. Bread, sauces or dressings DO NOT COUNT as ingredients.

  • The publication must contain an introduction where the recipe is discussed, for example, how you came up with it, on what occasions or for what reason it is prepared, where it is original. Likewise, the participant will explain how he learned to make it and why he or she has chosen it to participate in the contest and what emotions or memories he has when preparing it.
  • You must clearly express why you have chosen that recipe.

  • NO PLAGIARISM WILL BE ACCEPTED, NEITHER TEXT OR PHOTOS. NO OLD CONTENT, NO REPOST.

  • The list of ingredients must be clearly expressed, in understandable measures in any part of the planet. Likewise, they must indicate how much product will be obtained, either in portions or in any other measure.

  • The recipe must be accompanied by a minimum of ten (10) photographs, and in at least five (5) of them, the participant must be preparing the preparation. At the end of the post, the final product must be already plated or served. You can post more photos if you wish. Referential photos will NOT be accepted, even if they are free of copyright.

  • Avoid photographs that focus only on the contents of the container, pot or bowl. You are not asking for a panoramic view of your kitchen, but at least an area of the prep environment, showing part of the backsplash, countertop, stove, walls. Do not be afraid if your kitchen is old, or is very modest. The opening of the plane of the photograph is important, as it allows the reader a more complete and understandable appreciation of the recipe.

  • Take care of writing and spelling.

  • Explanations must be clear and understandable.

  • It is NOT necessary to include the title of this post within the title of the participating post, so you are FREE to put the title you want to your posts.

  • Use the tags: #foodie #sandwiches #contest in the first five places.

  • It is INDISPENSABLE TO BE ABLE TO PARTICIPATE, to share in the comment area of this post, the link of the participating post. If the entry is not here, it will not enter the contest.

  • This contest will be valid from the moment of its publication, UNTIL THURSDAY, OCTOBER 26, 2023, at 23:59 UTC.

All chocolate cakes here are so delicious not to mention that a moist chocolate cake is my favorite. All have a lovely display and I am sure each one of them are so tasty and creamy. Congratulations dear friends. Well-deserved!
