TINY TOES~~~Show Me A Shadow - Round 289

Hello all my Hivian friends!

It's been a while, the last few months I have been in a time squeeze. Too much to do and not enough time. Same old story. Between the chores on the farm during the growing season and summertime vacations, it's hard to keep up, after all, I am a #silverblogger. It was a wonderful summer, we were able to get down to the Jersey shore for some sun, sand, and boardwalk time for the little ones. We all went to the annual Bluesfest in town which had some truly talented folks keeping us entertained for the entire day.

Swimming, fishing, campfires and cornhole were on the menu in August as my entire family spent a week at the farm. Stargazing is also a favorite of ours and this year we all saw a UFO, for real, in the dark skies in Upstate NY. But that's another story.

Yep, time does fly when you're having fun.

I missed you all by the way. 😉

But I am back now and looking to jump in with my first post in months. The #shadow #hunters community is one of my favs so let's get going.

It's called...

"Tiny Toes".

While sharing a weekend in June with the family at my daughter's home in Pennsylvania, the sun shined around the pool as Peyton danced and swirled, creating the shadows that we have here.

My sweet granddaughter asked me to take her photo, but not a picture of her but her shadow. True story, she is now a #shadowhunter expert at the age of 5. We fool around with shadows every time we are together.

IMG_2463.JPG

Her tiny toes were in every picture, but it was her imagination that had her bending and stretching as she watched her shadow form on the walkway.

I often show her my posts and explain to her when she gets older she'll be able to blog about her shadows too.

Never too young to learn about something new, and have a few giggles with her Grammy.

Sending love and good wishes to all. Looking forward to catching up with y'all.

A BIG HELLO AND THANKS to my friend @melinda010100, you are amazing, I just love the #shadowhunter community.

Hi Nina, hope all is well, some really good news to share, my daughter Erica, my last of 4 kids, is having a baby in March. We are so excited. That will put us at 8 grands, boy oh boy, it doesn't get any better than this.

Your story about your brother was so moving, I couldn't help but cry, I lost my sister in February. It was a heart breaker, but I have lived long enough to know, the pain will lessen as time goes by, but I know I will never stop missing her.

Stay well my friend.

Hey Joan, thanks for dropping by, I am trying to get back into the swing after a few months off of hive. It was such a busy summer and still continues now, I thought retirement was going to be free time for me, not so. Always things to do.

All good though, just busy. My daughter is going to have our 8th grandchild in March, such happy news, she and hubby are very excited.

We are still harvesting the last of our veggies, getting ready for the cold weather, gathering wood for the fireplace. Living somewhat off the grid takes planning and prep for sure, but we love it here.

Hope this finds you well my friend.

Living off grid very rewarding, busy I can imagine with plenty more to do than any office job!

Family growing, congratulations to the parents and to be grand parents, more little toes to teach and enjoy pattering around when visiting.

Work throughout warm season, plenty of time to rest up when the cold weather does arrive!

We still managing, not as easy as it once was, still keep trying to assist where I am able, not much more one can do.

Amazing shadows, Robin. Glad you are back and maybe things will quiet down now that the colder weather is raising its chilly head.
Looking forward to the story about the UFO. Seems lots of sightings in the Hudson Valley.
