MY FAVORITE MEAL

One of my favorite foods is Rice, I know rice is one of the most common foods in the world 90% of people eat rice which makes it common among all other foods, It is one of the major foods served at the party, especially in Nigeria, eating rice has its disadvantages too, one of the major disadvantages of rice is that it Increase in sugar level. Rice contains a high quantity of starch and if you consume it in excess it may increase Diabetes

Coming to Africa, it may not be our local dish but most children prefer to eat rice every day, I love rice as part of my favorite meals because I prepare my rice in a way that you will love to have it more and more.

I garnish my rice in a way that you will always ask for more, I do not like to eat my rice anyhow, but I love to spice it up with different veggies like onion, different types of pepper, spring onions, and all other ingredients.

I love to pair my rice with cucumber because of the high level of carbohydrates in it, we can never run from it when it comes to eating rice, Too much starch in the body can cause damage to our health but helping with fruit can reduce the effect of the starch in our body system and it is very beneficial to our health, some of the health benefits of cucumber

  • We all know that cucumber is very good in hydrating the body and It increases water level in the body.

  • It helps in weight loss.

  • It helps in making the skin glow.

  • Cucumber also helps in curing sunburn in the eyes.

I have different ways of preparing my special delicacy, I can prepare it white and add stew or sauce to it like this

Secondly, I can decide to make it jollof, like party jollof rice mixed with veggies like carrot, cucumber, green peas, green peppers, and spring onions, or make it as fried rice which you see seeing the pictures

Another way I can prepare and enjoy my rice is by making it as white rice with curry sauce, this type of delicacy is second to none, I do enjoy it anytime I feel like making this type of sauce with my rice, I do prepare this sauce in two ways, I can either use chicken or I can use fish anyone is okay for me and it will always come out nice and perfect

  • I love to combine my rice with veggies which makes it more enjoyable for me.
  • It prevents obesity.
  • It is always easy to digest.
