Всем привет!	Hello everyone!
Волжский город Калязин – город трудной судьбы. Это старинный русский город, который успешно развивался за счет удачного расположения на Волге. Но в 1939-1940 годах историческая часть города была затоплена при строительстве Угличской ГЭС.	The Volga city of Kalyazin is a city of difficult fate. This is an ancient Russian city that successfully developed due to its favorable location on the Volga. But in 1939-1940, the historical part of the city was flooded during the construction of the Uglich hydroelectric station.
Предварительно постройки, которые должны были попасть под воду, взорвали. Лишь одно здание осталось нетронутым – это колокольня Николаевского собора.	Previously, buildings that were supposed to fall under water were blown up. Only one building remained untouched - the bell tower of St. Nicholas Cathedral.
Белоснежная колокольня с тех пор так и стоит посреди водного пространства. Со смотровой площадки на набережной на это чудо прекрасный вид.	The snow-white bell tower has stood in the middle of the water ever since. From the observation deck on the embankment there is a beautiful view of this miracle.

Я уже была в Калязине в 2018 году во время круиза по Волге. Но тогда мы побывали на другом берегу (город разделён водой на две части). Мне интересно было побывать в той части города, которую я не видела. Да и колокольню с тех пор отреставрировали.	I was already in Kalyazin in 2018 during a cruise on the Volga. But at that time we visited the other side (the city is divided into two parts by water). I was interested in visiting a part of the city that I had not seen. And the bell tower has since been restored.
К набережной выходит площадь преподобного Макария Калязинского. Вдоль неё уцелели красивые купеческие дома 19 века.	The square of St. Macarius of Kalyazinsky overlooks the embankment. Along it, beautiful merchant houses of the 19th century have survived.

В центре сохранилась старинная булыжная мостовая. Это вид на площадь, если стоять спиной к колокольне.

An ancient cobblestone street has been preserved in the center. This is the view of the square if you stand with your back to the bell tower.

По мостовой идти не очень удобно. Но это историческая ценность. Хорошо, что несколько участков сохраняют.

Walking on the cobblestone street is not very convenient. But this is of historical value. It’s good that several such areas are being preserved.
