| Что-то я отвлеклась и показала только один вид с Думской башни в Санкт-Петербурге. | Somehow I got distracted and showed only one view from the Duma Tower in St. Petersburg. |
| Это был первый день нашего с подругой отпуска. Утром мы приехали в Питер, и у нас было время до отправления нашего круизного корабля. | It was the first day of my friend and I's vacation. In the morning we arrived in St. Petersburg, and we had time before the departure of our cruise ship. |
| В Питере мы бывали несколько раз и раньше, но ничего не знали про Думскую башню, с обзорной площадки которой открывается отличный вид на центр города. | We had been to St. Petersburg several times before, but knew nothing about the Duma Tower, from the observation deck of which there is an excellent view of the city center. |
| Сегодня я покажу виды на главную улицу Питера – Невский проспект. Слева виден Исаакиевский собор. Проспект упирается в здание Адмиралтейства с золотым шпилем. | Today I will show views of the main street of St. Petersburg - Nevsky Prospekt. St. Isaac's Cathedral is visible on the left. The Nevsky Prospekt ends at the Admiralty building with a golden spire. |

| Я очень люблю стиль модерн в архитектуре и всегда любуюсь на Невском необыкновенным зданием с куполом, завершенным стеклянным шаром. Это «Дом компании Зингер», построенный в 1902—1904 годах по проекту архитектора Павла Сюзора для компании «Зингер». Сейчас там замечательный книжный магазин, из окон которого тоже неплохие виды на город. | I really love the Art Nouveau style in architecture and always admire the extraordinary building on Nevsky with a dome topped with a glass ball. This is the “Singer Company House”, built in 1902-1904 according to the design of the architect Pavel Syuzor for the Singer company. Now there is a wonderful bookstore there, from the windows of which there are also good views of the city. |

| Отсюда совсем недалеко Зимний дворец, Дворцовая площадь. Сам дворец не очень виден, загорожен другими зданиями. Но мы можем увидеть Александровскую колонну с фигурой ангела и золотой купол Большой церкви Зимнего дворца. Между ними видна новая высотная доминанта города – небоскрёб Лахта-центра. | From here it is very close to the Winter Palace and Palace Square. The palace itself is not very visible, blocked by other buildings. But we can see the Alexander Column with the figure of an angel and the golden dome of the Great Church of the Winter Palace. Between them you can see the new high-rise dominant of the city - the Lakhta Center skyscraper. |
| Интересно, что мы с подругой не смогли понять, что это за блестящий золотой купол, так как не виден дворец. Грустно, но и смотритель на обзорной площадке Думской башни нам не помог (впрочем, он явно не коренной петербуржец). Но позже мы смогли разобраться, что это Большая церковь Зимнего дворца. | Interestingly, my friend and I could not understand what this shiny golden dome was, since the palace was not visible. It’s sad, but the caretaker at the observation deck of the Duma Tower did not help us (however, he is clearly not a native Petersburger). But later we were able to figure out that this was the Great Church of the Winter Palace. |

| Видно, что в воскресный полдень движение на Невском проспекте не очень интенсивное. Можно отметить, что преобладает общественный транспорт. И людей пока ещё не очень много. | It can be seen that on Sunday afternoon the traffic on Nevsky Prospekt is not very intense. It can be noted that public transport predominates. And there are not very many people yet. |
