Эти фотографии я сделала в пасмурный день 3 мая 2021 года. Мы с друзьями были в короткой поездке в Вологде на майские праздники.	I took these photos on a cloudy day on May 3, 2021. My friends and I were on a short trip to Vologda for the May holidays.
Это жемчужина Вологды – Вологодский кремль. Хотя на самом деле, это название не совсем правомерно. От укрепленной крепости 16-17 веков стен уже не осталось. Но на этом месте сохранился красивый историко-архитектурный ансамбль Архиерейского двора 17 века. Когда-то он находился внутри крепости Ивана Грозного. Здесь сохранились постройки четырех веков (16-19 вв.) — храмов, палат, крепостных стен.	This is the pearl of Vologda - the Vologda Kremlin. Although in fact, this name is not entirely true. There are no walls left from the fortified fortress of the 16th-17th centuries. But in this place the beautiful historical and architectural ensemble of the Bishop's Court of the 17th century has been preserved. Once upon a time it was located inside the fortress of Ivan the Terrible. The buildings of four centuries (16th-19th centuries) - temples, chambers, fortress walls - have been preserved here.
Справа великолепный Софийский собор – древнейшее каменное здание города - памятник архитектуры 16 века. Его начали строить по приказу Ивана Грозного.	On the right is the magnificent St. Sophia Cathedral - the oldest stone building in the city - an architectural monument of the 16th century. It began to be built by order of Ivan the Terrible.
Колокольню построили в 17 веке, а нынешний вид со стрельчатыми арками она получила после перестройки в 19 веке. Тогда эта колокольня стала самой высокой в епархии. Интересно, что для русского севера, для Вологодской области характерны серебристые купола на церквях. А на колокольне – единственный позолоченный купол.	The bell tower was built in the 17th century, and it received its current appearance with pointed arches after reconstruction in the 19th century. Then this bell tower became the tallest in the diocese. It is interesting that the Russian north, the Vologda region, is characterized by silver domes on churches. And on the bell tower there is a single gilded dome.
