Hello, women of this beautiful community and the entire ecosystem. I tell you that this is one of the posts I have enjoyed the most because @ladiesofhive proposes two topics that are of utmost importance for all of us.

I thought before deciding and it is possible that you will see a combination of the proposed topics because, in the end, the advice that I am going to leave in the publication, should be part of the process of empowerment of our women.

I think I can give some advice from the experience of 60 years of life because they have worked for me and have allowed me to be a full and fulfilled woman. So, in this publication, I will give you some advice essentially addressed to younger women and, in the end, these tips are part of this process of female empowerment.

What is the first thing I advise you to do?

• Study: Culture is the basis for personal development and fulfillment. A person without culture is the fruit of permanent deception and much mistreatment.

• Be independent: Independence gives you knowledge and this you acquire from culture. As you can see, studying is basic to be able to advance in life in a full way. By the way, the national hero of Cuba, José Martí, said: "To be cultured is the only way to be free".

• Do not allow yourself to be mistreated: No one has the right to mistreat you, but you are the one who must prevent this from happening. Many times women who are abused say that they put up with it because of their children or use other criteria, when the reality is that they have an almost absolute dependence on the man with whom they live.

• Demand respect: Respect is earned, that is the truth, but there are people who think that because they are the boss or just because they are a man, they can disrespect you and this should not be tolerated because disrespect is part of the exploitation of all of us.

• When you believe in an idea, defend it: It may be that the idea you have of a process or business is wrong for many, but if you believe in it, defend it with nails, blood, heart and arguments. The final success of that idea will be the accurate way you have of silencing many.

I remember that in my youth all the principals of the Basic Secondary schools in my municipality were men. When they proposed me to direct the school where many people worked, among them women, they said that I was crazy, that I would not be able to do that job, that a woman should dedicate herself to the house and that I would not be able to do that job.

Five years later, my conviction, sacrifice, teamwork and trust in our strength proved me right, and that was the beginning for other women to begin to lead. Currently, the Municipal Director of Education of that municipality and many others are women.

Finally, a reflection on female empowerment

In my case, the respect, help and understanding of my husband has been fundamental, because in all the tasks developed throughout our union I have had to lead and he supported me so that I could fulfill myself professionally.

I know it is a difficult task and that there is a long way to go to achieve our total empowerment, but it is up to us to conquer this objective that will result in a fuller and more beautiful life.

Hola, mujeres de esta hermosa comunidad y de todo el ecosistema. Les cuento que, esta es de las publicaciones que más he disfrutado porque @ladiesofhive nos propone dos temas que son de suma importancia para todas nosotras.

Pensé antes de decidirme y es posible que vean una combinación de los temas propuestos porque, al final, los consejos que les voy a dejar en la publicación, deben ser parte de ese proceso de empoderamiento de nuestras féminas.

Pienso que puedo dar algunos consejos desde la experiencia de 60 años de vida porque estos me han funcionado y me han permitido ser una mujer plena y realizada. Así que, en esta publicación, les daré algunos consejos dirigidos, esencialmente, a las mujeres más jóvenes y, al final, estos consejos forman parte de ese proceso de empoderamiento femenino.

¿Qué es lo primero que les aconsejo?

•Estudie: La cultura es la base del desarrollo y la realización personal. Una persona sin cultura es fruto del engaño permanente y de mucho maltrato.

•Sea independiente: La independencia le da el conocimiento y este lo adquiere de la cultura. Como puede ver, estudiar es básico para poder avanzar en la vida de una manera plena. A propósito, el héroe nacional de Cuba, José Martí, dijo: “Ser culto es el único modo de ser libre”.

•No permita que la maltraten: Nadie tiene derecho a maltratarte, pero, tú eres quien debe evitar que eso suceda. Muchas veces las mujeres que son objeto de maltrato dicen que lo aguantan por los hijos o esgrimen otros criterios, cuando la realidad es que tienen una dependencia casi que absoluta del hombre con quien viven.

•Exija respeto: El respeto se gana, esa es la verdad, pero, hay personas que piensan que por su condición de jefe o por el solo hecho de ser hombre puede faltarte al respeto y eso no lo debes tolerar porque el irrespeto forma parte de la explotación hacia todas nosotras.

•Cuando creas en una idea, defiéndela: Puede ser que la idea que tengas de un proceso o negocio sea errada para muchos, pero si crees en ella, defiéndela con uñas, sangre, corazón y argumentos. El éxito final de esa idea será la manera certera que tengas de hacer callar a muchos.

Recuerdo que en mis años de juventud todos los directores de las escuelas Secundarias Básicas de mi municipio eran hombres. Cuando me propusieron dirigir la escuela en la que trabajaban muchas personas, entre ellas mujeres, decían que estaba loca, que no podría con esa tarea, que una mujer debía dedicarse a la casa y que no cumpliría con ese trabajo.

Cinco años después, mi convicción, el sacrificio, el trabajo en equipo y el confiar en nuestra fuerza me dieron la razón y, fue el inicio, para que otras mujeres comenzaran a dirigir. Actualmente, la Directora Municipal de Educación de ese municipio y de muchos son mujeres.

Por último, una reflexión sobre el empoderamiento femenino

En mi caso ha sido fundamental el respeto, la ayuda y comprensión de mi esposo, porque en todas las tareas desarrolladas a lo largo de nuestra unión he tenido que dirigir y él me apoyó para que me realizara profesionalmente.

Sé que es una tarea difícil y que el camino que falta para alcanzar nuestro empoderamiento total es grande, pero, en nosotras, está que conquistemos ese objetivo que redundará en una vida más plena y bella.
