I have the honor of being invited to this special contest of the Top Family community by my friend @getheenspring in which I thank her very much for thinking of me for my participation, in which the challenge is to observe an image, think about what this image brings us and then write a story, in this opportunity is the photograph shown above which are some suitcases.

Cuando veo unas maletas ipsofactamente me viene al recuerdo ese día frente del río que separa Venezuela y Colombia por la frontera de san Antonio del Táchira, las tensiones políticas del país estaban en un ambiente muy torrentoso, ya se habían cerrado las relaciones diplomáticas, además de psychoterror de los “trocheros” que ayudaban a las personas a pasar él cause del río, que en realidad se le tenía que pagar obligatoriamente, en ese momento a orillas de la parte venezolana adelante de mí pasaron una familia de cuatro mujeres y un hombre, sin ninguna maleta en la mano, todas sus pertenencias las llevaban los trocheros más adelante, en cambio, yo tenía que pasar el río solo con ellas, solo lleva dos maletas, una de ellas la podría llevar colgado en la espalda la otra en las manos.

Recuerdo que pasando un poco más de la mitad del río el volumen del agua me llego al pecho, entonces tuve que levantar mi maleta por encima de mi cabeza, no solamente para que no se mojara si también para no perderla, luego que se la llevara el río, fue en un instante que pise una roca y resbale, pude mantener el equilibrio para seguir el paso, pero por mis venas sentina la adrenalina alborotándose para entonces el pánico parecer, en ese mismo instante pensé, esta estúpida maleta vale más que mi vida, es que el peso de la maleta en mi cabeza me dificultaba atravesar el rio, pero al final todo un éxito porque puede llevar a la otra orilla del lado colombino.
I remember that passing a little more than half of the river the volume of water reached my chest, then I had to lift my suitcase above my head, not only so that it would not get wet but also to not lose it, then the river took it, it was in an instant that I stepped on a rock and slipped, I could keep my balance to follow the step, But in my veins I felt the adrenaline rushing and then the panic seemed, at that moment I thought, this stupid suitcase is worth more than my life, the weight of the suitcase on my head made it difficult to cross the river, but in the end it was a success because it can lead to the other side of the Colombian side.
Gracias a esta experiencia, siempre me fastidiaba solo el hecho de pensar en utilizar una maleta y salir a viajar, ya sabia que no pasaría ninguno rio, pero me daba tristeza saber como yo tenía que volver a llenar una maleta para viajar, lo curioso es que luego de un tiempo viviendo en el extranjero, no dejaba de pensar el volver hacer mis maletas para regresar a mi hogar con mi familia, unas maletas son tal vez sean bipolares porque dejarnos un lugar que vamos a extrañar y que amamos, o puede ser una aventura y un privilegio para viajar a un destino nuevos para conocer.
Thanks to this experience, it always bothered me just thinking about using a suitcase and go out to travel, I knew I would not pass any river, but it made me sad to know how I had to fill a suitcase to travel again, the funny thing is that after a while living abroad, I kept thinking about packing my suitcases to return home with my family, a suitcase is perhaps bipolar because it can leave a place that we are going to miss and love, or it can be an adventure and a privilege to travel to a new destination to get to know.
