Day 11 Question

I'm from Malaysia and my country only has two seasons, which are the rainy season and the dry season. It never snows here. But if we want to go to a cool place, we have Genting Highlands and Cameron Highlands which are famous among tourists. However, it never snows.

Actually, I've been to one of the shopping malls in Kuala Lumpur where they created an artificial snow park. It's been a long time since I went there. I can't remember the name of the shopping mall myself. But it can't be compared to the real thing.

As is it a season of snow somewhere it is a season of fog over here in Nigeria so the answer is no we don't have snow over here, but then I wish to experience the snow someday and that would be when I leave my country.

Snow? I haven’t seen it before because we don’t normally have it in Africa.
So NO there is no snow in my town, though the weather is cold for now.

I am excited to be among the winners so far and @Ecency is doing a lot to put so much smile on people's faces.

Snow is one of the things I have always imagined what it looks like and if it was possible to have it transported from overseas to Nigeria, I wouldn't mind telling a friend abroad to do so for me.

I envy many countries where it snows and wish it fell here just for once. It doesn't snow here in Nigeria but the weather is cold during this time of the year.

The coldness is nowhere near that of snow judging by what I have seen and read about. It would be a beautiful thing to see myself build a snowman man someday, I have done it in my dreams many times and wouldn't mind doing the same in reality.

I live in the city of Pasuruan, East Java, Indonesia. It's just hot and rainy here. I never knew what snow was like. it seems interesting and I want to experience it if it can exist in Indonesia lol. Unfortunately it's the rainy season here and now where I live the snow is rainwater.

No more snow for me Living in mid Florida we get maybe 40 F degree nights. But what is magical is being a short drive from Disney to check out all the festivities there and get to share it with family and friends. It's simply not the same though as some real snow!

Day 11

In Nigeria, we are privileged with no snow rather we express harmattan which is characterized by dry air, a lot of dust and the cold weather. I was once told that during this season the wind blows from the Sahara over West Africa into the Gulf of Guinea.
I hope that I would be able to visit one of the cities with snow and maybe the ones with a really low and extreme temperature although.

We don't have the snow here in the Novena area. And also the temperatures are low but not that much low here. Living in tropical place I can't even survive in snow as it would hurt the bones as our body is not adapting to it. But I would love to spend christmas in the places where it snows and there are communities who spend the christmas weeks like we do here. :)

Here where I am, there is no snow either, but the cold is intense at this time of the year.
I hope that someday I can take a trip to a country where snow is a normal thing.

Haha, this is the same for me, as soon as the colder nights kick in, it hurts in my bones and then I'm so happy when it's daytime and I can heat up in the sun, lol. I don't mind living in an area without these extreme winters. Growing up in Holland I had too many of these already so that's enough :)

Uh... I live out of town, but I can show how much snow I have in the woods behind my house, which also shows how much it will be on the street in the city. the snow here has come very early this year and it is not bad rather it has given a decent white Christmas month that has not been received in a while, it is always muddy and rainy Christmas here, or just cold and frozen mud .

It's a good thing that the cold has arrived earlier in my city, the cold has been delayed and we are still warm, missing the cold of the season.

When you want to spend Christmas near the beach with sun and sand, tell me and we'll change.

Happy 11th of advent.

There's nothing like snow ❄️ in my town. I have only watched how it looks like in some countries overseas and I imagined how people survive the snow. It doesn't snow here in Nigeria, just the cold weather we experience during the harmattan season at the end of the year like this

It doesn't snow here in Nigeria, what we experience is harmattan and cold and that's because the temperature in Nigeria doesn't go below zero. I have always wished to experience snow but that's if I travel outside my continent someday.

I am presently at the northern part of Nigeria, Kano state at the moment and it is very cold here and dusty here. There is no snow here but the weather here is always extraordinary because if it is sunny it will be more than expected likewise when raining and cold as well.

Yes we have a lot of snow in my city. Snow is everywhere. Children glad that the can ride on skate, skiing etc. Also during such great amount of snow city decorated to the Xmas Eve becomes magical and wonderful. Also temperature lower than 10 degress makes nature such spectacular and beauty.

Wow, 52 years without seeing or feeling snow. If it were to snow tomorrow in this city, we would all be stiff, like popsicles.
Today, right now, in Cumaná, Venezuela, we are at 25 degrees Celsius (77 Fahrenheit) which will rise by noon and that is all the cold we get without getting into a refrigerator.
Happy and warm Christmas.

Feliz y calurosa Navidad.

I have always wondered what snow feels like. How it tastes, how it smells like. It looks like a lot of fun when I watch children in the movies play in the snow, have snow fights and build snowmen. Here,in Tamale,a town in the northern region of Ghana where I live,we get absolutely no snow. Unlike in other parts of the world where there are four seasons, here in Ghana,we have two: the dry season and the rainy season. Currently,it is the dry season. In my part of the country,we are ambushed by the harsh harmattan winds during this time of the year. We experience chilly mornings as the zephyrs of the harmattan blow and make the weather crisp and foggy. During the day,the sun scorches at temperatures over 35°C,making it difficult to stay hydrated. Nonetheless, we the townspeople are used to this weather. We have found our own ways to remedy the chapped lips and feet that are prevalent during this time. Tamale is a lively town, bustling with activity and cheerfulness. The people are hospitable and very chatty. It is a great place to stay and it is dubbed the fastest growing city in West Africa.

My town is named as Nadha Ghar. It is located near district jhang of the country Pakistan. It is a small village consisting of only 1500-1600 people. It is really an example of something peaceful 😁.

As long as snow is concerned, no. We never saw any snow fall in my hometown. We experience a lot of fog and cold weather in winter but no snow fall.

I live in Istanbul and it is a metropolitan and touristic city. It is one of the most visited cities by tourists. It has a very crowded population, about 17 million people. Because of our geographical location, we experience 4 seasons. This is a great chance for us.
Every year we live with snow during the winter but last year it snowed a lot and many people could not go to work for a few days. But like this weather conditions do not happen very often. I love my city😊🎄

No, it never snows in my town. It is a fairly warm weather all yr round. We have pleasant, sunny temperatures, which lets in us to experience outside activities all 12 months spherical. Although there may be bloodless days at times, we by no means get to enjoy snowstorm. Although I can say that at instances I leave out seeing snow and taking part in the winter surroundings.

I live on an Island so we regularly have good weather above 30°, right where we are located we are blessed since we are surrounded by mountains which when it rains like right now they look almost white because of the fog. As for the snow, it is difficult to see it here due to the weather conditions, but I do not lose hope of one day traveling to where I can enjoy it and of course having some between my fingers.

Happy 11th of Advent

In past times in my city there was a very nice cold that came with a fresh breeze and a clear and radiant sky.

This year it is hot, it is the first December that we have had such high temperatures that my family remembers and that I have lived in my 44 years of age 😅, it is a wake up call about global warming for that we must be aware and consume less energy of the resources we use, such as gasoline, electricity and water.

This christmas is hot so far but let's hope that the days to come will cool down as past.

I would like to spend Christmas sometime in my life in a city where it snows, to play with the snow and make snowmen, although I am not used to the cold I don't know the snow and I would like to become a child again and enjoy the world and a cold Christmas like other people.

Who would like to change once in a lifetime a snowy Christmas for a summer Christmas with beach and sun?

If you are interested let me know 😁.

Hello friends. Neither in my childhood Christmases, nor in my adult ones, have I known snow. Cumaná is a hot city, with usual temperatures of more than 30 degrees Celsius and although in December it cools down a bit at night, it is very, very far from experiencing snow. That's probably best for my knees.

As a tropical country, we don't usually get snow.

Only in the Venezuelan Andes region does snowfall at one time of the year.

In the capital, Caracas, there is no snow, but the cold is present and gets down to the bones.

In Caracas, we have a wonderful mountain called Cerro Avila. In mid-November, an extremely cold breeze descends from that mountain, which we call Pacheco.

The name comes from the fact that many years ago there was a man named Pacheco, a flower grower who lived in a small town located on the mountain.

He used to go down to Caracas just when the cold started to get intense, in November, to sell his flowers and he became very famous for it. People began to associate the arrival of the flower seller with the coldest season, from November to January.

Merry Christmas!

In my town it does not snow because I live in Venezuela wich is a tropical country and it is usually hot (Although in some places it is cold). What I do feel is a lot of joy in the atmosphere, there is always native Christmas music and I am very excited about this time of the year, in my opinion it is the best time of the year. I would like to someday see the snow with my own eyes and experience it ❤️

It never snows in my village, and I have never seen snow. I wish I could see it one day. Although not in my city, I don't think we are prepared for so much cold in Havana. Here it's always green and the winter season only lasts two or three months. Now the weather is cloudy, a cold front came in yesterday and even so it's not intensely cold, just a few degrees lower.

I live in a small village in Estonia, we get good amounts of snow here in north eastern europe and degrees down to -30 or less.

I think my village has around 100 people living inside, maybe a bit less. We are a very tight community and at winter times we always create ski tracks and sledding areas. We have a very big pine tree about in the middle of the village that have christmas lights on it all year round, but we only turn them on if there is snow on the ground.

Where I live is quiet since most of the neighbors have known each other for many years and we are even family. Furthermore, the most important thing is that we live in harmony with nature. On the other hand, I would love to see snow at any time and for that I must emigrate since living in a tropical climate here it would be practically impossible to see it.

Just like last year, I only discovered this advent initiative halfway through, but let's say it's better late than never :)

I live at the Spanish coast of Almeria, this is just our second winter here though. I can tell you how last winter was. Even though it can get a bit chilly at night and in the morning, I have managed to get through the winter by wearing a t shirt topped with a vest.

While I had no coat (I didn't take it with me from Budapest as it was a heavy item which I probably wouldn't need here) I started to get a bit uncomfortable not knowing if one day it would be raining cats and dogs, so I ordered a new winter coat. I wore it twice!

If it was a bit colder than normal, I would just add a scarf to the mix and then it was all good. Last winter we didn't have a car yet, so now that we do, it's even more pleasant because we can just throw a jacket/coat in the car if needed so we don't overdress. This is a serious thing here, thinking it's chilly and then the sun appears and you're overdressed with long sleeves.

I don't think there will be snow here but a little further you can see the mountain top being covered in snow, which is quite funny if you consider we're still walking around in our t-shirts.

For me snow is something that I love seeing and it's a great feeling around Christmas especially if everything is decorated, but as long as I don't have to walk through the snow myself because when I slip it usually means I pay the price with my knee or back for weeks to come. I would be very surprised if I'd open the window one morning and look at the ocean view with snow covered on the buildings between us and the sea.

Never say never though :)

No Snow here!

I'm living that Lagos, Nigeria life where we don't get nothing like snow or crazy winter weather here. Nah, in my city it stays hot and humid year-round, the sun shining bright on the daily. Ain't no frosty days or icy snowflakes falling from the skies, that's for sure.

Folks be wearing t-shirts and flip flops like 24/7. You go outside and start sweating right away from the heat. We don't need big puffy coats and gloves to stay warm. Rainy season comes and goes with some heavy thunderstorms, but then it's back to clear skies and blazing sun.

I seen snow in movies and stuff, the way it blankets everything white and frozen. Looks mad beautiful, can't front. But that life too cold for me! I'm good with the endless summer vibes we get here in Lagos. It's all I know and I gotta say, warm breezy days year-round is the move. We keep it hot out here, feel me? No need for sleds when you got the beach right around the corner.

Greetings everyone, my town is called Villa de Cura, it is located in the state of Aragua, in Venezuela. Snow has never fallen in our town, in fact, we don't have winter. Here we only have two seasons: a dry one (in which it is not unusual for it to rain) and a rainy one (in which there are years in which not a drop falls).

However, we do see a lot of snow at Christmas, since, influenced by movies and TV, a large part of the Christmas decorations - both those purchased and those made at home - have that element as essential. Present in all the Christmas trees, in many mangers, in garlands. I can say that it doesn't snow here but you see a lot of snow at Christmas. This snow is sometimes made of cotton, other times of gauze. On some occasions it is an effect achieved with colored chalk, on other occasions it is crayons used to create the snow. Cold, water, and oil painting are also widely used so that we can have "Snow at Christmas"
🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🍷🍾
